I prefer the new system, although the layout of it I'm not a fan of... but I can get over that. I've long thought decimal rating scales are way too convoluted and ultimately don't mean anything. I'm glad Gamespot is changing things up now, and moving away from a standard decimal setup. In my perfect world there'd be no need for a score rating at all, and the quick synopsis of the game's good and bad points along with the full review would suffice... unfortunately, it seems most people have grown too fond of attaching a score to a game's merit... oh well.

Ultimately, I prefer the new system to the old one.

I have no problem, I have no need for a larger harddrive, HDMI, blackness, or any other features of the elite package. I still would've bought the premium instead of elite if I had the choice.

I've played my fair share of Gears and Halo 2 online, and have never had a moment in my game play where I thought "I'm only losing cause this dude's hosting". To me, hosting is just another excuse to blame a loss on, same with "screen watching" back in the days of split screen, and lag to a server on games hosted by a company. I've yet to feel the need to host a gears game yet, except to get the achievement, which I don't have anyway. So I'm sure it gives someone a slight advantage, oh well, I've never had it be a noticeable difference. I also never use my mic unless playing with my friends, it's rather annoying otherwise.
