So I just realized that it has been a long time since I have posted a blog here on Gamespot. A lot has happened in the past couple of years including getting my BA in History and I am currently halfway through my Masters Degree program at Rutgers University. Now that it is winter break for me, it's time to sit back and play some games and just relax. I got my Playstation 4 a little less than a year ago. My first game was Assassin's Creed Black Flag and my library has grown just a bit since then. I just beat the Evil Within last night and to be honest, I was not impressed. I remember the early previews for this game were promising, then for a good period of time most of the previews were negative. Right before the game came out all of a sudden the previews were good again. So I bought it on Amazon and at first I was pretty impressed. It definitely has that Resident Evil feel. However, the story makes no sense, at least not for me. The game is also extremely tough as I died over 120 times throughout my play through but that is not a bad thing; a challenge is a good thing.
Anyway, I am now still playing Destiny and Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. I'm hoping to get Far Cry 4 for Christmas. I'm also still have my good ol' PS3 and 360 plugged in and it is really strange reading my older posts saying how excited I was to get both of those systems when they were new. But I am still playing them and will continue to do so. PSN offers some good free games and right now I'm playing Mirrors Edge, Saints Row 3, Hitman Collection and the PS1 classic, Suikoden I. I'm not the biggest JRPG fan, but I've heard so many great things that I had to try it out. 360 wise I am playing an Xbox classic called Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. I'm not far into the game, but so far it seems pretty interesting. I also just beat Silent Hill 2 again, this time on the Xbox instead of the PS2. I still love that game and the ending is just great.
While life is busy at times, I'm glad I still get the chance to sit back and play some games. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with what I got but that's why I have to beat them! For now I just plan on getting Far Cry 4 and then hopefully purchasing the reissued GTA V for PS4. Other things have happened in the past couple of years including being an employee at Gamestop. That was an interesting experience, but I'm not really much of a salesperson. The location I was working at closed up on March 30th and I was not issued another job which is okay because well, first, I didn't like it, and second, graduate school was enough work and stress to go through.
Anyway I hope 2015 is another great year! I should be done with graduate school at the end 2015 and hopefully I will find a big boy job either near my location or somewhere else. I doubt anyone will read this but I think I am going write more often. I might post my PS3 collection soon as I have done that for my PS2. My PS3 days are far from over though and I plan on playing and getting more games in the future.
Happy gaming!
