Right now, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should buy component cables or HDMI cables for my ps3 to use for my new 720p HDTV. The only reason I am alittle confused because I hear that if you have a 1080p hdtv you should definitely go with HDMI cables, however, I figure since mine will only be 720p, maybe the component cables would be a better buy. Would there still be a difference between a HDMI cable and acomponent cable for a 720p hdtv? Which cable should I go with?

I really appreciate you guys reading and helping me out :) Thanks so much.

I did some research because I felt as if I needed more information on Final Fantasy Versus 13, one of the interesting points I came across is that there has been reference that the combat system will be similar to Kingdom Hearts; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_Versus_13#Gameplay

So, what I am a little curious about right now, what is the Kingdom Hearts' battle system like? Can anyone explain this to me and give any similaries to any game if possible? Thanks for reading and thanks for your response.

Really, I have no idea how this game will work out, imo, this game doesnt seem like your normal final fantasy game where one group of people party up and strive for their objective type of final fantasy, this one just looks different. Can anyone give me anything they know on this game? I would like to read from the posters of this website first especially before I actually go and research on my own.

Thanks for the two stores I would not have expected walmart or Kmart to have it, well, since I do not trust online shopping, my only bets are Walmart, Kmart, Toys R Us, and Best buy, I did not call best buy to see if they sell it at all and walmart and Kmart websites say they are out of stock however I am still going to call to check up. Thanks again, but I guess I am going to have to wait more then I really wanted for a ps3, but still, soon enough.

Thanks guys so much, I have one more question; http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=72386 this gamestop site is saying that the 80 gig has no backward compatability at all and 2 USB ports, is that just false information or is the actual MGS 4 ps3 bundle different from a regular 80 gig model from gamestop or anything?

Thanks again for your response.

SolidGame_basic

The MGS4 80gb bundle has BC via emulation. The new 80gb model they are bringing out was upgraded from the 40gb which did not have BC at all (which is why it has 2 USB ports) This has to be true because the new 80gb bundle was announced at E3 which came out after MGS4. If you're still not sure, ask someone at Gamestop and they'll tell you. To sum up, there are two bundles, one 80gb with BC (ie, the mgs4 bundle) and the other one that was upgraded from the 40gb (that originally had no BC). I don't know if they will continue to produce the 80gb with BC (it says here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS3 that it's still in production). If anything though, you can always get one with BC online.

Oh and just for your information, all PS3s are PS1 BC, the question is if it can play PS2 games.

Thanks so much, I am clear now on pretty much everything for the Ps3, I think I'll try hard to get the MGS 4 bundle, hopefully it wont be hard to get, as I just called Toys R' Us and they were out of stock, I guess it is a good thing I will have the money next week, however since I have no idea how shipping dates work for any store, could be bad, the employee I spoke to himself had no idea when the next shipment will be, and according the Best Buy's website they don't even sell the MGS 4 Ps3 bundle in which I find hard to believe. I think I am willing to wait another week if there are no MGS 4 ps3's in stock, but if not, then I will buy the 60 gig, as it would be nice to return to my old PS2 library every once and awhile. in conclusion, thanks a lot, to everyone who responded I was really worried there and I probably would have bought a regular 80 gig PS3, thanks again fro all the information everybody, and I am looking forward to becoming part of the PSN community and I cant wait, and if any of you want, drop in a few ideas of what my PSN ID should be, because right now I have no idea and I do not want to make it the same as my current xbox 360 gamertag. One more time, thanks guys.

P.S.
Love this community way better then the xbox 360 community already and I do not even own the system yet (w00t)

Alright, so basically I am finally buying a playstation 3 and was so excited at the fact that I was going to get the MGS4 Bundle pack, however, as there may be a good chance of it being sold out, I need to know why some people prefer the 60 gig ps3 over the 80 gig ps3? is there any difference in the backward compatability or any hardware differences like different amounts of USB ports or what? I would really appreciate it if anyone would just list the differences and similarites for me.

(Sorry, I'm fresh to Ps3 althogether, finally getting one because I am tired of my 360 dying on me due to the RRoD) Thanks again
