I've been through a lot of e-mails and dupe accounts through this period of console gaming. Mainly because I am a perfectionist and had a sort of disorder I learned about through research so when one thing would go wrong with trophie hunting, a drop on an online record or a game I didn't want on the trophie list I'd start a new account. After a lot of self-reflection and research I'm final able to cope with scars and all sorts of things with an account.

It's weird I know but I wanted to know if I can call Sony to recover a PSN ID even though I do not know the e-mail account for it?

Is there any information about the Gamertags for the next gen xbox? Will there be an increase from 15 letters or will i stay the same?

buccomatic

it works different with the xbox one.

microsoft will be issuing you a gamertag number embedded on a microchip implant, they will no longer allow you to make up your own unique username/gamertag. it will be required that you have this new "feature" (the microchip) implanted into your arm so that only the kinect 2.0 spy module can detect it, and will be used to log you in.

all this is done for your account security of course.

2k is more for football purist. All Pro 2k8 didn't have the NFL L's but as many referred to it is and still is the king of simulation football & gameplay. I feel the NFL logo brings in the casual football fans and madden caters to that crowd with it's broken flaws and principals with it's gameplay, it's built for someone who wants to pick 5 plays and stick with them and there isn't a counter balance for much in Madden. 2k's brand of football was more strategic and had a lot of depth for players that knew the game of football. All Pro was a good premise and if EA didn't buy the legend license too I think All pro would have been a good alternative that many of us fan of the game of football not just the NFL would've appreciated. If 2k can renegotiate the license and made it a XBLA/PSN title I feel it'd be more successful rather than at the time of 2k8's release trying to take on Madden. I played APF almost everyday, I loved the strategy of star tiers...made me feel like a GM and I love building schemes. 2k recently shut the server down I tried to play Madden but it's so unlike real football...real football feels like a chess match, not a f'cking arcade gm. I guess one can dream that 2k or someone other than EA would try to take one more whack at football NFL or not but with companies nowadays in the gaming industry I don't know if this will ever happen...

PS....Saw the next-gen trailer for EA...looks like MMA and Football gaming is doomed once again...

is this a fairly good idea? I take the battery out of my laptop so it doesn't have to drain the battery of anything when I am not going anywhere but my house. I wondering since I don't have the battery can I put it in High Performance mode? Is there a downside to doing this option without the battery?

[QUOTE="MadVybz"]

[QUOTE="CecilChups"] Well put, but honestly, I'd rather sink that time and dedication that goes into fighting games into actual exercise and learning real martial arts.

CecilChups

What does exercise and martial arts have to do with anything? Fighting games are all about strategy and exploitation of your opponent's weaknesses, much like any other competitive genre. The only difference is the context.

That's like saying instead of spending x amount of hours into a shooter you'd rather join the military.

Fighting games demand that you become a fat slob to even remotely play on a competitive level. Shooters aren't as complex

I love fighting games and sports game. I practice martial arts and I go to the gym to powerlift on a weekly basis and I use to be a damn good football player. Competitive games like fighters and etc in my experience are mostly picked up by ex-athletes or goal oriented ppl. If you can't get good don't hate. You sound like the young dude on the football team who'd bitch and moan about sucking but won't put in any work to get better. Whatever you do you gotta practice you just don't get it overnight. If it isn't your thing stop bit ching and focus ur effort somewhere else.

assume TC means bigger releases? otherwise PSN and XBLA says "hi". but in bigger releases, I forsee that that would require lower royaltys from the Console makers, aswell as a more diverse audience.

This gen we DID see some attempts to make something different, but the majority of consumers showed that they would not go for the more "exotic" ot complex then the average militery grunt fps game (or sports game).

The lower royalty fee, by the sound of it, and ease of getting the game on console, was something Sony did hint at at the PS4 reveal, which is great, MS will likely follow suit, they need all the games they can get.

The Consumer part, None of the console makers can do much about :\ Im hoping for the best, but we have to acknowlage that the "gamer boom" means that alot of the newcommers in gaming, dislike "out there " ideas, and only go for what could be action movies.

But Damn I would love to see more horror games, more stealth games, more sci fi games (gimme a next gen Deus Ex, pleeease).

Maddie_Larkin
this... one of my favorite games this Gen was All Pro Football but because of increasing funds and crazy expectations they killed the franchise...could any football game without the NFL logo could actual sell over 3 million copies...it was insane for 2k to even think that but with new tech and marketing of what the businesses think they should make it failed. In the PS2/Xbox era games like this could get by selling 400,000 copies because of the lower development cost and loyalities.

I remember back in the PS2/Xbox days niche gaming was strong. There were games that were made by small teams and although they did not sell over 2-3 million copies that had a cult following and still loved over time (Ico, Shadow of the Colussus, Godhand, SF Alpha Series, Sudioken). I'm hoping with suppose easier technology to develop for that translate into lower cost which means the return of small developers going to consoles and risk taking. A few titles tried this gen but failed because of unrealistic expectations ( All-Pro Football, THQ as a whole, Hitman, Sleeping Dogs, etc). I don't how much the media and the hype machine has damaged what we expect in games but more niche and less AAA is good for gaming as a whole.

is there an alternative to opening the controller up? I wanted to try a method to dip it in rubbing alcohol for 5 minutes and let it dry. I believe the solution won't hurt the battery too much. I need something to eliminate the dust from the buttons so they will stop sticking, it is a very crucial problem that hurting me because I play nothing but fighters.
