Everyone is going to begin a serious argument this week in regards to the legitimacy of Madden in this now 2 years in MONOPoly of the NFL license status.  Lets get a number of serious issues out of the way right now.

YES 2k5 was the BEST FOOTBALL GAME EVER MADE.  Check the ratings for that year, Madden hasn't seen a score like that since. 

No, EA did not ask for the deal, it was a bidding war. 

YES, Madden was still the top seller in 2005 and the NFL is a business, which had a ultimate goal of making money for it's owners, in which case knowing that Madden is the top selling brand means that sales are guaranteed, why not give them the exclusive deal.

YES, EA's idea of ESPN integration into it's games is still light years behind 2K. 

So here's the ulitimate point.  I love Football and like many of you, I'm so addicted that I;m going to buy the game and play because since the early 80's i've always purchased a football game.  EA, ?I know you are not listing to anyone at this point, you don't really care, I mean since when do scoreboards show only graphic displays and not field action?

Listen up, call the guys for VC, hire a few back if you have to, but the company.  You used to be the best - at least until the guys for VC left you, yeah I said it!!!  Ask them how to make the total NFL experience, ask them how the added all those authentic ESPN screens.  Ask them how they managed to make a halftime show that showed footage from games being played around the league, including yours.  Ask them how they got that 5.1 sound so damn crisp  Ask them how they got so many animations into the game, how the figured out that football is about defense, asked them how they got that CRIB IDEA.

Then ask yourself.  Are you giving the fans what they really want.  Hey here;s one, remember when you used to model all the past Jerseys so that we could play with the team looks from any era?  I love you guys, it it was not for you, we still be playing sports talk. But come on guys, give us a complete game.
