I liked your idea the better when I thought it was about to minimize the icons and focus them all in a single feature... now that I see it's a feature apart and yet another icon on the XBM, I gotta say I'm not quite sure about it.

Not bad. You could make the profile design a bit larger as there's a lot of empty space around the outside. Also, on the messages screen from a useablility standpoint, how would the player navigate from the received messages and sent ones? Noticing the scroll bars on them, would a user have to scroll all the way to the bottom of their received messages before the cursor switches over to sent messages? It's little things like this you need to think of (as you have with the other parts).
