You know, here we are closing in on Christmas, and we still don't have a lot of games to choose from on the PS3. Yes, Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty 4 are out (soon if not already), but we still just aren't seeing the first-party titles that we should be seeing by this time. About the only bright spot I see on the holiday horizon is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and that's about it. Why the heck they haven't sped-up the release of GT5: Prologue for North American release is completely beyond me. I would snap that one up in a heartbeat!
The same thing goes for the rumble-enabled controller. If Sony were to release that now, along with updates for games that could then utilize rumble, then many of the third-party releases such as Assassin's Creed would give me pause to think about possibly purchasing them for the PS3 instead of the 360. Note to Sony: The longer you wait on this feature, the more likely it is that any third-party titles out there will get bought for the 360 instead of your machine. I already purchase titles for the 360 based on the Xbox Live service being a better and more robust offering than the PSN, not to mention that I have more friends on that network(although that could change eventually, I suppose), butnot having rumble as well just makes my game decisions that much easier.
Once again, the "logic" of videogame companies (or more accurately, the lack thereof) continues to astound me.
