Games and History

Have you ever exploring your warehouse, looking for something you need to repair your car, and found your old games instead? A memory of their golden era flashing in your mind, a beautiful memory about the excitement of playing the old games with your playmates. I started playing games early in my childhood, when I was 3, my uncle brought home a simple computer system (I dunno what it was, but seeing the greyscale display, it's perhaps a Mac), and shows me two games installed in it; a (pseudo) 3D F1 racing game and space invader-ish shooting game. I was very happy that time, even when that Mac has returned to his office, I always asked my uncle to bring me with him to his office. Later years, when I was fourth grader in elementary school, my dad brought home a PS console, with several games; SoulBlade, and Winning Eleven ?, SoulBlade is the very first fighting game I ever played and I fall in love with the series. By playing the game, I started expanding my creativity in my drawing, and my english. I feel sad when that PS returned to its owner, but several monts later my dad bought me a NES console *yay* it looked like a PS, with several installed ROMS, two PS-esque joysticks and a zapper. Recently I bought a PSP to play those old games in emulator (I'm a CFW user; copy-paste this to your signature: GAIN TOTAL CONTROL AND UNLEASH 100% POWER OF YOUR PSP BY USING CFWs! /slapped). I bought the games from a store 14km afar from my home, I just have dial-up internet so I cannot download ISOs/CSOs from net. Back to the main topic. So we just saw the promising progress of game's improvement over years, in scope of graphics, gameplay, interactivity, sound and another noticeable points, from the simple pixelated sprite of Super Mario Bros games to 30.000+ polygons for each character of Soul Calibur IV. From simple side-scrolling of Metroid to a stunning panoramic view of CRYSIS, from simple 8-bit music of Magic Jewelry to incredibly beautiful orchestrated music of Final Fantasy XII. From one hour gameplay of Contra to a hundreds of hour long gameplay of Fallout 3. Two decades of progress resulting in more and more realistic visuals, and how about our grandson's favorite games might look like?
