no one cares about how much halo or cod sell. starcraft is an infinately better game, proven by the fact that it is the most televised game ever and we haven't even got into expansions or big meta game shifts yet. you console idiots just don't know what your talking about and its embarassing that you think games like halo or cod compare to something as big as starcraft. there is a reason why starcraft is compared to games like chess and poker, because is has that staying power and depth that no other games have. when halo becomes the national sport of a country then maybe i will give it some respect but until then halo and cod are just typical shooters, and its fans are just low level gamers.
sure a game like cod or halo will sell lots but it has the same effect that you guys use to bash the wii, it will sell a **** ton then after a month everyone forgets about it and moves on to the next "big" shooter game. where as a game like starcraft only gets better and better as the meta game shifts and will be around for another 12 years to come.
PC has higher standards so its understandable that pc has never been given a ten, although i believe that change is coming and they will not be able to deny a ten to starcraft 2. if it doesn't score a ten then i will just call it ignorance, i mean i realize the game is only going to get better once it is released(patches,expansions,meta game changes) but its still above and beyond any video game that has been created in terms of competitiveness, balance and replay value.
the game will not be a 10 when it comes out but after a year or two it will be at that quality. remember the game is still not finished, look at how different sc1 is from scbw. things will only get better once the game is released.
just feeling rage cause the beta is down for a few weeks and i cant get my fix, oh well guess its back to scbw. honestly dont care what score it gets because that will not effect me playing it. from what i have played so far tho, i see no reason for it to be below AAA. then again when the game is released there is still lots of patching plus multiple expansions so its not the complete game at release even.
they still have a lot of work to do on the game though, in terms of balancing for multiplayer.(i could care less about the single player) its no starcraft bw but i trust that when all of the expansions are out and they keep patching lots it could live up to the hype. i just wish they would give us zergs another unit cause right now zerg is boring meh.
