@Red_Frog: While it had MOBA elements it was not a MOBA. It was 4 v 1 but with two different interfaces (over the shoulder or top down) depending on if you were a hero or a villain. Very fun to play as a villain and then go and play as a hero knowing the tricks the villain could employ. Made for some intense and strategic matches.

@brn-dn: They didn't make us pay to play. When they were testing the market they gave us gold to spend to test it out. Once all wipes were done that's when you could chose to spend money to buy gold. It was free to play and you could get anything that had an effect on gameplay by just playing the game.

It's disappointing to read the comments on this game. Most have never played it and yet they pass judgement about it. It was not Fable IV and for those that loved the Fable I,II,II I can understand why you are so bitter. However you missed out on a fantastic time. It was a lot of fun. @kloffolk, you're right the 4 v 1 is a challenge and no one had got it right, but Fable Legends was very close. It just needed a few tweaks here and there and the balance and matchmaking would have been just right. I played so many games both as the hero and villain and I loved it. I feel privileged that I got to play. I feel sad that so few got to experience the game. While Fable Legends may be gone the friendships formed will continue for years to come.

This is not the Fable 4 you're looking for, but that's not a bad thing. This game is fantastic and I really hope it gets saved. I've been in the Beta since March of 2015 and I've got to watch it grow from something I was very unsure of to a great game. The last few months so many great changes have happened. There's very few games that match the thrill of facing a clever human villain with four of your friends as you battle it out through the maps. When they announced the cancelation a lot of previous Beta testers game back and were blown away by what a different game it was. The game is simple to pick up but the depth and replayabiity keeps you comming back. It's great for hardcore competitive gamers and that's where the audience will come from. It is highly addictive and one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. My friends list has tripled playing this game. It is so close to being ready for open Beta. Don't let the "Give Me More of the Same" gamers convince you this game isn't worth saving.

Having played in the closed beta for about a year I completely understand what he means when he said that he outgrew Fable. However Fable Legends was not "another" Fable game. It has deeply rich game play that appears so simple until you play with other experienced or villains or heroes. It was poised to provide some serious hard core competition. Playing maps from the heroes perspective (over the shoulder) and then playing from the villain perspective (top down) was something very special. This was the first game to get the RTS style game play on a console with a controller right. They were just a few months from releasing to open beta where they would found their audience. I'm sure many of their delays stemmed from the fact that they were building a cross-platform game (PC/Xbox One). I played on both platforms and both experiences were fun. The thing that is most sad is my Xbox Live friends list tripled in size from playing the beta. I played for dozens of hours a week and didn't see myself stopping anytime soon.

If you still want this game, go to the fable legends website and forums and find the links to help support this game.

@stev69 @Exectech I should have specified. I was speaking to MMOs designed for F2P. As DDO and many other MMOs were originally designed with subscription in mind and then changed to F2P model as subscription numbers fell.

Kevin, appreciate your opinion, but I think at minimum your score was harsh and your desire for Solo MMO playing came across in the review. This is an MMO which means it should excel when playing with friends and it does this better than many games. SWToR is great for soloing because of how story driven it is but all that story slows down game play when playing with friends. The combat is simple yet addictively fun and easy for just about anyone. The Foundry is a unique concept in the MMO world that provides an almost infinite variety. I believe the designers intended to have the short simple dialog to keep the action going; which was good choice. It allows the Foundry content to shine. This game is the best Free to Play MMO out there I didn't hear you mention the value you get for the price. As far as flaws, I agree there are enough to wonder what could have been, but this game is far more than simply "fair."

@MN121MN Hacking is the practice of modifying the features of a system, in order to accomplish a goal outside of the creator's original purpose. Sounds like hacking to me.
