Unfinished games.

Blue Dragon. Eternal Sonata. I have to say the first two games I got on my 360 were a big disappointment. Although I only had my hopes up for Eternal Sonata. I don't think Blue Dragon had that much going for it in my book. In all honesty, I didn't even realize it was made by the creator of the final fantasy series. Eternal Sonata had been well reviewed to me though and I found the mix of turn and real time to be stilted, overall the combat was stilted, and it all just didn't seem to hit its stride by the time I gave up.

Fallout 3 Gamespot poll

I don't agree with all the angry fanboy shouting that goes on out there in the internet, but I have to say, it kind of annoyed me that Gamespot's poll excluded a choice that would portray a positive reaction.

Grandia 3

I'll have to write a review for this now that I've finished it. I'll just have to say that it disappointed me. Not because of expectations before I got the game, but expectations from after the introductory segment. I beat it, I'm selling it.

We *heart* Katamari

I just finally finished getting the cousins. Oooooh my gosh was that a pain in my ass. Especially since the level that the last cousin was in, I thought it wouldn't be in that half. So I finally try the second rulesset and find it. Anyway, hidden stage. 5k of 1M. Oh gosh. That's right. 5k of 1M. I'm so not going to get that any time soon, but I really want to know what happens after.

AQ - pre-grind mania!

I spend an hour or two getting quests for Silithus now that the AQ gate is open. That's right, getting. Why? The quest basically has you raid with some NPCs, one of which must survive and will flag you if you heal it directly, to get a random chance at the quest pool. You choose one of three types of quests, and voila, random quest for you! Ah! The agony! It'd be more okay if it were say soloable or shareable, since it is neither, one must repeat this quest ceaselessly. Did I mention that it's possible to get repeats? Oh yeah, there's nothing more worthwhile than spending 20 minutes to get the same order you just got. Grrr!

If you can't say anything nice, blog

I wish I could blame Blizzard for this post, but most of the fault probably lies with my ISP. I keep getting disconnected mid-raid and bounced into the ever-present queue. Most unfortunate. I got to see the new 20 man dungeon for about 10 minutes. We wiped, went to reset...and oops, no more for the night.

The problem with Medivh

Tonight I was raiding. Raiding in a new zone with my wonderful guild. Like many others I ended up getting bucked out of my saddle and just like that, I was shunted to an 800 person queue. The problem with being in Medivh. The funny thing is we have all these spectators...and the event won't happen until 5 days after we have finished gathering the supplies. Come on people, leave us alone. Do your own work.

Maraudon

Taking my level 47 mage into Maraudon right now. I only mention this because it should be interesting for two reasons. One, I don't normally play my mage. I just logged on so I could contact my D&D ride. Two, we are all under level except one level 60 shaman. It should suck a fair bit.

Return of the game

I got Dragon Quest VIII back from a friend today. That rules. I had borrowed Resident Evil 4 which was alright but not something I am accustomed to playing. I am happy to get back a game that I will hopefully log many hours into instead of picking out hairs while playing for moments the other.

Subversive

I managed to get my boyfriend hooked on Psychonauts. I think part of it is his stubbornness. He played it until we went to bed and after getting coffee this morning he is playing again. There is so much joy.
