[QUOTE="Eyezonmii"]That sounds pretty farfetched. If you are an AV enthusiast at all or have a larger than average tv you will notice it. I noticed a single pixel on my 720p tv died from a reasonable distance, so I can certainly notice small resolution changes, especially after I got my new pc and experimented with different resolutions is crysis.lol, your opinion. It being rendered at 720p as little to do with it....and more to do what you actually see on screen, expecially since the human eye can't see the difference in such a small gap of resolution, MGS4 is also upscaled to 1080p.
I just think MGS4 character models LOOK sharper and more detailed.
lol at your logic tho...funny stuff.

Not talking about PC gaming here...but consoles and HDTV's..you know, sitting at a reasonalble distance. I love gears 2 to death, but all this talk about it being 720p native, certainly didn't hide the jaggies through out the game.
The developers for MGS4 did a amazing job on the game, making sure it looked superb, even tho the native reso was lower or had less poly's...it comes to talent and how well you can work with whats available.
the whole more poly's and netter RESO BS doesn't work, since one can't notice the extra detail anyways...and since it isn't a major difference. its just haters being picky and thinking it does.
i've noted that when it comes to textures and envrioments, Gears 2 wins hands down...its obvious. I'm betting some of the gears 2 supporters here haven't even played MGS4.
