Not only did his games gain no traction and die, but so did his studio.

Another Peter Molyneux of the industry, showing that it's not one person that makes the game, but a whole team who make games successful, I hope this experienced knocked CliffyB down to earth a notch or two.

We see how this "a console will perform 2x compared to a similar specd PC" works in reality. Why? Cause nobody has a similar specd PC, a high end i5 already drives circles around the CPUs in the consoles, then we come to the GPUs, RAM, SSDs etc. Reality is, if you have the money for a good gaming PC, your games are going to look better, run at higher resolutions - if the developer actually gives a shit, if he doesn't we'll the game will look the same as on consoles weather you have the best possible hardware on the market.

People buy Nintendo consoles to play Nintendo games. If you buy it for that purpose, you will love it.

This right here is something Nintendo really needs to address, and fast.

The system is missing more core mature games, but I wouldn't necessary want Call of Duty, Titanfall or Infamous on the Wii U, well I wouldn't be bother, I just wouldn't buy it for that particular console. What I'm missing right now is a new Metroid, Zelda, etc., core Nintendo games that are not necessary games that mostly target kids. Mario Kart 8 will be a system seller regardless and it looks good, Bayonetta 2 will possibly be awesome too, and I bet both Metroid and Zelda will come eventually.

So yeah, I guess they might need more 3rd party games, but like Farrell2k said, I buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games.

Nice setup all in all!

Personally, I would pick square edged - thin bezel monitors as opposed to this new Samsung stuff they put out. I have three 2443BWs here and they are a charm, with their adequately thin bezels and fit together really nicely. And really somehow 1920x1080 for monitor doesn't really compute well with me, 1920x1200 is the way to go for 24", but that's my personal opinion :).

Have fun with gaming! :)

EDIT: Just for comparison

Relic are the kings of RTS games and are there to stay. They might not have the luxury of Blizzard to keep a game in development for 5+ years, but at least they try to push the genre forward in that time they have on their hands before the publisher starts kicking the doors in and so far they've done an amazing job with all their major releases.

That said, I think StarCraft 2 will be a great game, I just wished for Blizzard to innovate instead of improve, they had a decade to come up with something new for the genre, yet up-till-now they failed to impress me personally, doesn't mean to say that they wont wipe the competition with SC2, which is kinda sad really in regards to the other great talent out there.

Well the Master Chief certainly does portray the movement and reflex patters of a ~70 year old man in the games.

Does anyone know if this is coming to the PC or is it exclusive to 360? I got me the Logitech G25 used and the 6 speed shifter needs some calibrating (at least i hope that fix's my problem) but i need a racing game that supports my wheel.

Every racing sim on the PC supports your wheel from GT-R to rFactor.

I tried rFactor and that is when I noticed my shifter was messed up but i was not feeling the graphics how is GT-R?

Truthfully, I don't think there is a racing sim out on the PC that has the visuals of Forza 3 or GT, so you might be a little disappointed. That said, rFactor looks bad, but a lot of it depands on the mods, which make it look quite good, but still the engine is quite old.

Get GT-R Evolution demo (http://www.gtr-evolution.com/) and try it out. Looks and plays very good in my book.

Valve did a great job with Half-Life and I was stunned and after all the mediocre expansion packs, I was eagerly awaiting Half-Life 2. When it finally came, it was a great game, but it was pushing it to much with the "new found physics features" and vehicular madness. The levels where you had to drive the boat and the car were the most boring levels in FPS gaming history, or at least so they felt to me at that point, especially the driving sequence which took forever. Later leveldesign was also abysmall to say the least.

All in all it was a solid game, but not even close to what Half-Life 1 was in my book, and if I say truthfully, I had more fun with Doom 3 as with Half-Life 2. And frankly right now, I don't even care about the episodes, all I care about is more Team Fortress 2 stuff :), so Valve still delivers.
