I've been using vista for about 3 years now and I really haven't had problems with it at all. Yes there are annoyances such as the user account control, which can easily be disabled. I have vista on 2 systems, my older one which is only 32bit (also it only had a gig of Ram on vista for quite a while and ran FINE!) My newer gaming rig has ultimate 64bit which obviously runs like a pro. I had more problems with XP than I did vista in my experiences between the two.

I haven't used Win7 yet. Like others are saying I will probably do a clean install of Win7 once I do a complete upgrade to my gaming rig with the mobo, cpu, memory etc...Which probably won't be for another year or two. Since vista is running fine for me I don't see the point in upgrading for a while.

No new games for me in September. The two I was going to buy were pushed back...Tropico 3 and BF1943. However, next month probably have to choose between Tropico 3, OF:DR, COD:MW, and Alpha Protocol. I'm thinking I will definietly be picking up Tropico AND Flashpoint. Not sure about the others.

From a strict gameplay point, I chose San Andreas. I'm not all that far into GTAIV, but just how large the area is in SA and I also loved the airborne vehicles in SA. Specifically the air challenges to unlock all of the planes and helos. However in GTAIV, it just ignores how many different planes and helos SA had, there's maybe a chopper here or there, that's about it. The nod I'll give to GTAIV is by far the gun combat system, how you can hug walls and shoot with blind fire is very cool, this system sure beats the aged system that GTAIII pioneered about 7 years ago. I'm not saying i don't like GTAIV, I just feel that SA is the better title.
