This blog mainly shows my opinion about the recent takeovers of exclusive platform titles from both sides, as well as all those people who keep having an argument about which console's BEST.
Want graphics? wicked games? stunning cinematics and cutscenes? unidentifiable pixels? amazing character animation and design? realistic character interaction and communication? wicked good sound effects and voice acting? cinematic, open-ended and bloody well introduced storylines? memorable locations and boss fights? lots of DLC and fun over online gaming? well here's my answer: GRAB JUST ONE CONSOLE. THEY BOTH ARE STUNNINGLY THE SAME.
Halo 3, Mass Effect, Gears of War from one side, and Metal Gear Solid, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm from another. Yet there are still those games such as Splinter Cell, TES, Assassin's Creed, Alone in the Dark, Dragon Age: Origins, Sacred 2 and others that share both sides. People who own a 360 keep whining about wanting a PS3; and those who own the PS3 keep drooling over 360 games.
Well BOTH are the SAME. I own a 360. And tried the PS3 at my cousin's and in the shop. Well I played Killzone 2, Motorstorm and COD on the PS3... and knew why 360 owners wanted those games.
It's not about the console when you test drive these games. It's about the games themselves. People just want more and more amazing games, no matter what platform it runs on. I wanted Killzone 2 so badly that day. Motorstorm looked freaking great and Forza was starting to feel dull. But hey, wake up honey; it's not the same console... basically, you'll have to buy a $600 "entrance fee" to gain access to the "PS3 games purchase area". Otherwise you're buying games that will never work.... on the 360.
In my mind's eye, the difference between the 360 and the PS3 is technology. While both consoles deliver nearly the same level of visual eye candy, one console does more than the other. The 360 was designed to make it entirely focused on gaming. But the PS3 uses only 30 to 40% of its performance to deliver graphics... the truth? Sony integrated a DVD player along with Bluetooth and Blu Ray technology into a gaming console. Plus, the controller itself could be classified as "motion-sensing". So when you're playing a game on the PS3, you're playing a game on a multi-function system. But really, Sony could have released those games on the 360 instead. Business calls first, and they had to boost the PS3 sales.
The proof? many guys out there want the PS3 because of some games. And Sony's dropping its exclusives ONE BY ONE for the 360 these days: Metal Gear Solid: Rising is due to be released on both consoles, same as Tekken 6 and others. Similarly, Microsoft did not want to feel "gluttonous" and released some titles on the PS3. Who knows, Halo might one day be on PS3!!!
Guys, let's face it. It's not the console. It's the games. We WANT those games. And we ain't reaching them till we get the console first. And they release dual-platform games to calm us down. Who's controlling who?
