26 of Jan is Australia Day. I'm a patriot so I have to blog about this :)

Unlike the USA, Australia won our Independence through peaceful resolution. Though we had to keep the union jack in our flag, that many now wish to change. Some soldiers don't want this cause they went to war for this flag. Dad says he went to war for the people. This is my belief. Soon I can see our nation becoming a republic. I like the idea of the Commonwealth but since the death of the Queen mom and Dianna I'm looking more towards the republic side. Even prince Charles says we're stupid for not breaking away from the British.

This next pic is the kangaroo an Australian Icon and our National Animal (the only national animal in any country that can be eaten by its people{this might be a joke but it really does taste like chicken- maby a bit of steak flavour})

This is the most downloaded Australian symbol by other nations, and I could only find it on a Peurto Rican website. A national tragedy Black Saturday named after the scorched earth thousands of animals died and many, many humans {I live in the area, most of the year BTW} this shot became famous during that time. Also note that the fire that destroyed entire towns was lit on purpose!

This is our longest street it streaches across out desert the Nulabour Plains it is a straight road that goes for 5000 miles {you gotta wonder why there is a zebra crossing in the middle of it? :lol:}
