So it again boils down to reviews........

Here's another one of my opinions about reviews. I can't say that I've read every review ever written since then, but IGN's review of Asura's Wrath has been the last time I've seen anyone mention it.

" I enjoyed it immensely – and so will you, if you've any weakness at all for mad Japanese action – but if I had paid £40 (or $60) for it, I doubt I would look upon it so warmly. "

Keza MacDonald, GN UK's Games Editor

Reviewers don't have to pay for the game they are reviewing. They may not actually own the game, but they get to play it to completion for free. I have heard many say in videos they they did actually go an purchase the game after doing the review.

Personally, I've never had a "bad" free game. Even the most broken pieces of shit I've ever played still give me a chance to go through and laugh at how broken the game is, if it's free. People even give you a pass is you got it for free.

Player One: "This game sucks!!! Why in the hell would you buy this crap?"

Player Two: "Didn't, got it for free."

Player One:" Oh.....Well never mind then."

Like I said before, I haven't seen anyone mention that they might feel differently about a game if they actually had to pay for it.

@targey1 "The main problem according to this review is dull repetitive level design, "

That "comment" is a problem most games with low scores have somewhere in their review.

I (sometimes) hate to be "that guy" (the one who mentions COD and it changes the tone of the conversation from civil to "you hate COD!!! rage), but when so many FPS's being released that are sequels having phrases like "Mode ABC is like XYZ mode in the last game" in their reviews, I question it.

Using words like "dull" and "repetitive" don't always come off the way you want them to in a review. If you hate racing games, nothing Forza or GT throws at you is going to make you love it all of a sudden. Even if something does pique your interest a bit more than usual, you're still going to have some issue with the game. Case in point, I was hyped as all get out for Asura's Wrath, until I played the demo. To put it mildly, I'd rather walk into a KKK meeting and yell, "we should fight to get Obama elected for a 3rd term" than play QTE's for an hour. At the endof the day, the game wasn't bad at all, but I'd never buy it. I also wouldn't tell you it was dull or repetitve just because of my hatred for QTE's either.

Two reviews: A gave it a 6, the other a 9. Without even playing, I'll give it a 7.5 and say it's worth your money if you like these kinds of games.

Out of all the news stories this week, you pick flappy bird and can't understand why people hate the game? Flappy bird was the gaming equivalent of "Macarena" and "Who let the dogs out"; Catchy or slightly addicting to many, but there came a point when hearing those songs in every other commercial became overkill.

If you're into gaming or animation(sometimes even films), it's par for the course to get riled up over design or voice changes. The comes a time when you have to grow up and realize that while fans like you are the reason the franchise has been around so long, YOU DON'T OWN IT.

It's been too long since we've had a show where Johnny isn't mad at the comments and mostly agrees with them. Good show.

In all honesty, it does scare me a little bit when I think of all the titles I've downloaded. Seemed like a deal at the time, but how long will I actually be able to play it? Will I have to buy one of the last 360's on the shelf in a few years, transfer my data, and hope the system lasts a long time? Which brings me to my next fear.......

Most of my XBL titles are fighting games, for which I have two joysticks. Since the XB1 (so far) isn't compatible, I'm stuck making a M.A.M.E. box so they get some use.

I keep hearing on various sites how lag free it is, AT CES! It's hard to convince people that sites don't get paid to only tell good news when it comes to previews, and crap like this doesn't help. Tell me how it works when the millions of PS3/PS4 owners are using it, and then I'll listen.
