RainIsMyDrug Not blaming M$ for the exchange rate, just going off the posts and actual discussions I've had with gamers from that area. I don't care about the conversion rate because it doesn't affect me, but look at how many people bitch about it. GS had a video interviewing people talking about Australian exchanges rates about a year ago. When a gamer asked why a digital game is also price higher, even though there is no shipping or customs to deal with, no one could give a straight answer.
engenderreality Not mad at them for giving anyone a free game, but you have to wonder why they are giving a game away in territory and not the other. When the PS3 hit, we got a "Spiderman" BR, they got the new Bond movie. It made sense. M$'s decision makes about as much sense as Sony saying "Why give away something free" when they did it last gen.
@mdrieber Never wanted the first Kinect, and I've learned from this gen that I'm not interested solely in the exclusives either system is offering. Why is it a waste of money and stupid to buy the cheaper system first, then wait for a price drop on the second?
Seriously M$ (and yes the $ is meant as an insult here), you claim to listen to your consumers then pull this crap. Most people are saying they they are forgoing your console for the competition due to price in the U.S., and you decide to give free games to the U.K....... Did Sony beat you that badly other there with the PS3?
Then again, every time a new console comes out, a majority of people STILL point out the price differences in regions, and it's about time our gaming brothers across the pond got something extra for paying more.
""Due to a longer development time than expected, we couldn't initially include the Invasion Mode-"
Just going to be a "Negative Nancy" here and say this probably wouldn't have happened if Ubi had just released the Wii U version and then spent time perfecting the ports. Meh, but what do i know? I'm just a consumer that chose not to buy a product because Ubi decided my money wasn't good enough by itself.
@Catalyst222 That's why I enjoy seeing people use the term "PS3.1"! They're basically saying that MS needed another console to even compete with t he PS3, and that Sony just needed a small upgrade to counter it. In their attempt to insult the PS4, they end up insulting themselves.
BTW, this is from a 360 owner that is buying a PS4 first only because of the price.
Now, I spend the rest of the week trolling GS to find the bastards that acted like they knew everything a few weeks ago when the XB1 was "sold out".
And no, I'm not talking about the people that claimed to work at Gamestop and told us what their store was doing. I'm talking about the people that responded to those people, claiming that they KNEW someone that worked either there or Best Buy and that the information was wrong.
A post on another site made a good point. Many people are going to buy this so their younger child can play the same games as their older siblings on a cheaper, non-hinged system.
