So you don't have anything behind the "Sony Computer Entertainment" text except for the 5 transparent cubes, 4 "fireflies" and bluish mist (with memory card inserted and loaded with saves)?

I have had a ps2 for months and recently have noticed that, when I turn on the console, a white square shows up on the bottom of the screen.
This was triggered by something on the memory card. But what exactly is it?
So my question is: What makes these blocks, cubes or parallelipipeds, or whatever they are, appear?
Well you CAN have a PS3 and play PS2 games on it, but if you're not willing to cough up the 600 dollars yet, then the PS2 is very good.GunnerVIII
But be aware, that the next PS3 version (revision) to come will probably be like the european one, which relies on software for the backward compatibility. That greatly lowers the number of supported titles, so people who want the 98% BC should hurry and buy the current version, otherwise they'll be waiting for the next software update to see if *put game title here* is supported yet, kind of like X360 users.
Chrono Cross is decent but compared to Chrono Trigger it sucks (not even close). It got perfect 10? If this game deserves a 10 then CT must have 30. If only they havent screwed the PSX port...
THE Game is Grandia. FFVII is the biggest piece of crap compared to Grandia. But Square (and not only them) went beyond the 32-bit era with that stupid archaic random encounter system. Thats the saddest thing.
Lunar is good too (the battle system is average though) and the first one is better than the sequel (story-wise :)).
This overheat issue is pure fantasy. The slim model does NOT overheat!!!
The funniest thing is seeing a slim ps2 next to an Xbox. And they are same-gen. Muahahaha!
