All right, I'll get to the point. I've been playing re-releases of older games: 1980s and 1990s and I've realized that some of the games we play now are easier than they were back then. "Battletoads" was one of the most difficult games my brothers and I have played to this day. Now with games like "Final Fantasy XIII" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops" being played and completed within a week's time (think December 25th to January 1st), have we drifted away from the difficulty that games provided or have we reached a point that a game has to be both good and have a moderate difficulty setting? Are games such as "Demon's Souls" and its upcoming companion game, "Dark Souls" bringing back good, long games that make the player feel a great accomplishment as they complete a level, not just the game itself? Think of your favorite games or favorite series. Have they easy, moderate, or difficult? Are most video games become longer and entertaining instead of challenging?

Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy???
by Fantasy721 on Comments
After watching the latest trailers of Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2, I am convinced that Square Enix is turning XIII into a trilogy. Anyone else agree with me?
Kingdom Hearts 3

I know we're all waiting for it, but with "Birth by Sleep" out now and "Re:coded" coming out in January for the DS, let's put our heads together. Please post any rumors you have or might have heard about Kingdom Hearts 3. We can continue this forum while we wait for official news.
All I've heard so far is that Square Enix might start development in 2012.
