After speaking to Wakka be sure to go down to the deck below. There is a Al Bhed Primer in the engine room. The entrance to this area is in the rear of the ship. Also while down here, you'll meet O'aka XXIII (merchant extraordinaire)! He's basically the Stilzkin of this game, except that in giving him money you allow him to someday open a shop with really great items. Just give him what you can now.
When you're done with the deck below, head back up and join the small crowd around Yuna. Speak to Wakka and then join Yuna at the bow of the ship. Just when you are about to get to talk...
The ships crew harpoons Sin, only causing the monster to drag you along with it. The only way to save yourselves is to take on the beast itself. Although Sin drops some sinscales, your job is to take on the big guy, not them. Kill off two of the sinscales so they can't replenish their numbers, and then focus your long range attacks on Sin. Use Lulu, Wakka, and Kimari. Once the battle starts to near an end, switch in Yuna to summon Valefor.
NOTE: Before the battle ends, make sure Wakka has full life! No AP will be awarded til after the next battle.
Tidus has been pulled over the edge into the water, and Wakka jumps into to save him. Now a battle with just the two of them against a Sinspawn begins. Your first round should have Wakka cast Dark Attack and Tidus use Cheer. This should blind your enemy and keep your defense fairly powerful. Only worry about killing the Sinspawn and not his little guys, they will just come back. Also keep a close eye on the CTB so you know when to use a potion. This battle should end fairly quickly if you keep the boss blind.
After the battle, Sin crushes this poor unexpecting harbor town. When the team arrives, Yuna must perform a "sending". The only thing to do at this point is go and watch. The next morning you can begin to sift through the rubble and help out, but before you speak to Wakka you should go and do a few other things.
Just west of the Inn you can save a girl from a collapsing house, and you'll receive your reward at the bar. Also in the bar is another Al Bhed Primer. Just north of the inn is a chest with three potions too. When you are done talk to Wakka.
When you get to him, he is overseeing the reconstruction at the east end of the pirr. Once you talk to him he'll get the team ready to go. Now it's time to do what you came to Kilika for in the first place.
You are now in the forest of "Lord Ochu". If you go straight ahead you'll meet up with Luzzu and Gatta. They'll explain it's best to avoid Ochu and go around. This is a wise idea, there are many treasures to be found if you do. But, why not get the treasures and go back and fight him. It's worth it.
This battle should somehow involve all your characters, but keep in mind, Lulu must be in it at all times. Use her fire spell to beat him fast, and if you have Tidus' haste spell, caste it on her. Also Wakka can use his Silence Attack to prevent spells and Kimahri can use his physical to hurt him big time. And like with all good things, stick Yuna and Valefor in there at the end to zap his ass. Once defeated, speak with Luzzu to get an Elixir.
Now make you way up to the stairs leading to the top of the mountain. This is the Kilika Temple. Take this time to save and get new equipment if needed. At the top, another Sinspawn awaits.
Ok, first things first. See those two tentacles, they absorb magic ala Celes (FF6). Use Kimari, Tidus and Wakka first to kill them off, then rotate in Lulu to cast fire. Do the same thing as before if you have haste, it works really well allowing Lulu to cast it 2 times in a row. Then add Yuna into the mix with her summon, and keep attacking. Eventually this guy will go down like all the rest.
Follow the party up the last few stairs now. You'll encounter some blitzballers from Luca who laugh at the idea of you winning. After they are done, enter the temple. There Yuna will meet another summoner named Dona and her bodyguard. Dona makes fun of Yuna for having so many guardians, "quality not quantity". After she walks off, follow the group into the inner sanctum. Here Kimari lets Tidus know he's not allowed in "yet". Once they are gone and the platform rises back up, go to leave. Dona and her pile of man meat will come back and forcefully send you down into the Cloister of Trials.
Al Bhed Primer V
Your first line of business below deck is to speak with O'aka. You should have more cash now, so lend him a bit more gil. So far I lent him 432 and this time it was alittle over 1000. Once you are done, check the action out on the deck.
Move to Yuna's location at the rear of the boat to find Yuna conversing with those annoying Luca Goers. Afterward go to the bridge of the ship, between the stairs up and stair down to get another Al Bhed Primer. Now go upstair to hear about Wakka and Lulu. If you keep going up after you are sent down, you'll hear more and more. Apparently they has a past with Wakka's little brother. Me thinks this could develop into a love interest.
Now return to the lower deck to find a blitzball and the "Jecht Shot". This is a skill you should learn. After you are done you'll talk with Yuna and finally get sent to bed by Wakka. Big game in the morning.
As soon as you arrive the blitzball announcers go through all the teams and the horrific Auroch's. Eventually Grand Maester Mika arrives and you must go with the crowd to see his ship. Then you meet Seymour.
After the scene is done, you and the rest of Wakka's team await the first round draw in the tournament. You find out that Wakka has chosen the Al Bhed team. The players get ready and a tutorial on how to play Blitzball begins.
After you leave the locker room take a some time to search around town for some items. Head left from the locker room to the left stairway to find the opposing teams locker rooms. Behind the closest player to the front of the screen is a Al Bhed Primer and there are two HI-potions in a treasure chest in the back of the hallway. Go back to the main area and save. Next head to the left and back onto the docks. At the first dock there are two chests, one next to the flags and one closer to the end of the pier. A Tidal spear and 600 gil are your loot. Now go back to the main Blitzball area. From here head right. Go to the nearest dock and all the way to the end. Then go up and around the boxes to get an HP Sphere and an MP Sphere. Now head back to the main blitzball area and go down south.
Here you meet Yuna. You now can go up or straight, go up. If you go to the sphere theater, you'll be able to talk to people about various spheres, which now cost alot, but later should be able to be purchased. Also keep this area in mind, another Primer will be located here later. Now go back and head "straight" as givin the option before. This is a market place where you can shop at the store near the entrace, go up the stairs on the right to find 1000 gil, talk to Luzzu and Gatta, or just enter the Cafe. Once inside Kimari meets some old friends. This of course is only the beginning of your problems. Yuna has been kidnapped!
Lulu, Kimari, and Tidus must rescue her from the Al Bhed ship docked in pier 4. The short way to the dock is blocked (the right way), so go left. You will encounter mechina enemies here, so have lulu use her lightning as much as she can. Fight your way around to the ship and hop onboard.
This "boss" is nothing more than an insane blitzball machine. This fight could be very tough if not for the crane next to Tidus. Use Lulu's thunder attack to give it some juice, three hits should do it. Once running, Tidus just needs to use it to grab the Oblizterator and do his thing. This attack is what saves your part from a long battle, it does upwards of 4500 damage. All that's left are a few lightnings and attacks, and it's as good as gone.
Once the battle is over, Yuna opens the hatch...having fought her way out. Does she even need guardians? You now learn of Yuna's past a bit. Aftet that is done Lulu signals Wakka and the Auroch's finally pull through to win a game! Now onto the finals!
Ok, remember all those blitzing tutorials, it's time to put them to use. When you play against the "Luca Goers" don't expect to win if this is your first time playing. They are faster, stronger, and better then everyone on your team. Just hang in there. In the end the crowd still loves ya. If you want, pass around the ball alot to gain levels to make them better should you want to play later on.
After the game ends, fiends invade the city and Tidus and Wakka must fight them off. Now, the infamous Auron makes his move. Killing monsters in one hit, he moves to help Wakka and Tidus. Eventually after battling you'll be outnumber. Who will save the day? Apparently it's Seymour, who uses his Aeon to fight back the monsters, saving the city.
After this is done, Auron joins the team as a guardian. The quest continues.
