S.S. Liki to Luca

After speaking to Wakka be sure to go down to the deck below. There is a Al Bhed Primer in the engine room. The entrance to this area is in the rear of the ship. Also while down here, you'll meet O'aka XXIII (merchant extraordinaire)! He's basically the Stilzkin of this game, except that in giving him money you allow him to someday open a shop with really great items. Just give him what you can now.

When you're done with the deck below, head back up and join the small crowd around Yuna. Speak to Wakka and then join Yuna at the bow of the ship. Just when you are about to get to talk...

The ships crew harpoons Sin, only causing the monster to drag you along with it. The only way to save yourselves is to take on the beast itself. Although Sin drops some sinscales, your job is to take on the big guy, not them. Kill off two of the sinscales so they can't replenish their numbers, and then focus your long range attacks on Sin. Use Lulu, Wakka, and Kimari. Once the battle starts to near an end, switch in Yuna to summon Valefor.
NOTE: Before the battle ends, make sure Wakka has full life! No AP will be awarded til after the next battle.

Tidus has been pulled over the edge into the water, and Wakka jumps into to save him. Now a battle with just the two of them against a Sinspawn begins. Your first round should have Wakka cast Dark Attack and Tidus use Cheer. This should blind your enemy and keep your defense fairly powerful. Only worry about killing the Sinspawn and not his little guys, they will just come back. Also keep a close eye on the CTB so you know when to use a potion. This battle should end fairly quickly if you keep the boss blind.

After the battle, Sin crushes this poor unexpecting harbor town. When the team arrives, Yuna must perform a "sending". The only thing to do at this point is go and watch. The next morning you can begin to sift through the rubble and help out, but before you speak to Wakka you should go and do a few other things.

Just west of the Inn you can save a girl from a collapsing house, and you'll receive your reward at the bar. Also in the bar is another Al Bhed Primer. Just north of the inn is a chest with three potions too. When you are done talk to Wakka.

When you get to him, he is overseeing the reconstruction at the east end of the pirr. Once you talk to him he'll get the team ready to go. Now it's time to do what you came to Kilika for in the first place.

You are now in the forest of "Lord Ochu". If you go straight ahead you'll meet up with Luzzu and Gatta. They'll explain it's best to avoid Ochu and go around. This is a wise idea, there are many treasures to be found if you do. But, why not get the treasures and go back and fight him. It's worth it.

This battle should somehow involve all your characters, but keep in mind, Lulu must be in it at all times. Use her fire spell to beat him fast, and if you have Tidus' haste spell, caste it on her. Also Wakka can use his Silence Attack to prevent spells and Kimahri can use his physical to hurt him big time. And like with all good things, stick Yuna and Valefor in there at the end to zap his ass. Once defeated, speak with Luzzu to get an Elixir.

Now make you way up to the stairs leading to the top of the mountain. This is the Kilika Temple. Take this time to save and get new equipment if needed. At the top, another Sinspawn awaits.

Ok, first things first. See those two tentacles, they absorb magic ala Celes (FF6). Use Kimari, Tidus and Wakka first to kill them off, then rotate in Lulu to cast fire. Do the same thing as before if you have haste, it works really well allowing Lulu to cast it 2 times in a row. Then add Yuna into the mix with her summon, and keep attacking. Eventually this guy will go down like all the rest.

Follow the party up the last few stairs now. You'll encounter some blitzballers from Luca who laugh at the idea of you winning. After they are done, enter the temple. There Yuna will meet another summoner named Dona and her bodyguard. Dona makes fun of Yuna for having so many guardians, "quality not quantity". After she walks off, follow the group into the inner sanctum. Here Kimari lets Tidus know he's not allowed in "yet". Once they are gone and the platform rises back up, go to leave. Dona and her pile of man meat will come back and forcefully send you down into the Cloister of Trials.

Al Bhed Primer V

Your first line of business below deck is to speak with O'aka. You should have more cash now, so lend him a bit more gil. So far I lent him 432 and this time it was alittle over 1000. Once you are done, check the action out on the deck.

Move to Yuna's location at the rear of the boat to find Yuna conversing with those annoying Luca Goers. Afterward go to the bridge of the ship, between the stairs up and stair down to get another Al Bhed Primer. Now go upstair to hear about Wakka and Lulu. If you keep going up after you are sent down, you'll hear more and more. Apparently they has a past with Wakka's little brother. Me thinks this could develop into a love interest.

Now return to the lower deck to find a blitzball and the "Jecht Shot". This is a skill you should learn. After you are done you'll talk with Yuna and finally get sent to bed by Wakka. Big game in the morning.

As soon as you arrive the blitzball announcers go through all the teams and the horrific Auroch's. Eventually Grand Maester Mika arrives and you must go with the crowd to see his ship. Then you meet Seymour.

After the scene is done, you and the rest of Wakka's team await the first round draw in the tournament. You find out that Wakka has chosen the Al Bhed team. The players get ready and a tutorial on how to play Blitzball begins.

After you leave the locker room take a some time to search around town for some items. Head left from the locker room to the left stairway to find the opposing teams locker rooms. Behind the closest player to the front of the screen is a Al Bhed Primer and there are two HI-potions in a treasure chest in the back of the hallway. Go back to the main area and save. Next head to the left and back onto the docks. At the first dock there are two chests, one next to the flags and one closer to the end of the pier. A Tidal spear and 600 gil are your loot. Now go back to the main Blitzball area. From here head right. Go to the nearest dock and all the way to the end. Then go up and around the boxes to get an HP Sphere and an MP Sphere. Now head back to the main blitzball area and go down south.

Here you meet Yuna. You now can go up or straight, go up. If you go to the sphere theater, you'll be able to talk to people about various spheres, which now cost alot, but later should be able to be purchased. Also keep this area in mind, another Primer will be located here later. Now go back and head "straight" as givin the option before. This is a market place where you can shop at the store near the entrace, go up the stairs on the right to find 1000 gil, talk to Luzzu and Gatta, or just enter the Cafe. Once inside Kimari meets some old friends. This of course is only the beginning of your problems. Yuna has been kidnapped!

Lulu, Kimari, and Tidus must rescue her from the Al Bhed ship docked in pier 4. The short way to the dock is blocked (the right way), so go left. You will encounter mechina enemies here, so have lulu use her lightning as much as she can. Fight your way around to the ship and hop onboard.

This "boss" is nothing more than an insane blitzball machine. This fight could be very tough if not for the crane next to Tidus. Use Lulu's thunder attack to give it some juice, three hits should do it. Once running, Tidus just needs to use it to grab the Oblizterator and do his thing. This attack is what saves your part from a long battle, it does upwards of 4500 damage. All that's left are a few lightnings and attacks, and it's as good as gone.

Once the battle is over, Yuna opens the hatch...having fought her way out. Does she even need guardians? You now learn of Yuna's past a bit. Aftet that is done Lulu signals Wakka and the Auroch's finally pull through to win a game! Now onto the finals!

Ok, remember all those blitzing tutorials, it's time to put them to use. When you play against the "Luca Goers" don't expect to win if this is your first time playing. They are faster, stronger, and better then everyone on your team. Just hang in there. In the end the crowd still loves ya. If you want, pass around the ball alot to gain levels to make them better should you want to play later on.

After the game ends, fiends invade the city and Tidus and Wakka must fight them off. Now, the infamous Auron makes his move. Killing monsters in one hit, he moves to help Wakka and Tidus. Eventually after battling you'll be outnumber. Who will save the day? Apparently it's Seymour, who uses his Aeon to fight back the monsters, saving the city.

After this is done, Auron joins the team as a guardian. The quest continues.

Zarnarkand to Beside

I stated playing final fantasy X

Here's my guideI written for the site.

This was one tough thing to write. ANYWAY, without much fanfare, let's get on with this.

For all you Final Fantasy fans or newbies let me tell you all the secret for getting through all RPGs. EXPLORE! Open every door, speak to every character (more than once), and don't expect to finish it in a weekend (unless you have a walkthrough to do).A door for the net level(hehehe)

I don't mind because I didn't Right This In One Day in a 5days or so let's go on

The game begins and you're on your way to the blitzball stadium. A small crowd has gathered outside Tidus' house. Speak with the crowd and move on. As you get to the stadium, move across the bridge of people. Try to talk to all of them. Outside the arena, Tidus is mobbed by the crowd, who won't let him through. Manuever through them. FMV sequence follows here.

After the movie is over, move down the ramp until Tidus spots Auron, following him into the city. The two watch as a large monster crashes into a building, and tons of "Sinscales" attack them. Auron hands Tidus his first weapon, the Longsword. At this point, just follow his lead and attack. Eventually, you'll end up at a creature similar to the one you saw crash (it was BAD)

Next, save at the blue orb behind the Sinspawn's body. Touching the sphere will also restore your characters' HP/MP.

Just when Tidus and Auron think they've escaped, they are surrounded by even more Sinscales. During this confrontation, follow Auron's instructions. Once the tanker explodes, an FMV will take over, whisking Tidus into...

After the Big talks in Tidus and Auron...Tidus Finding him self along and...

AWAKES drifting in the Sea of Ruins. Use the analog stick to guide Tidus through the water, pressing O (circle) to dive underwater.

On the far West side of the area, there is a set of stairs that will lead Tidus to dry land. The blue globe is an Al Bhed Compilation Sphere, which will serve you later in the game. Another platform is on the far East side. There is a sign written here in a language that Tidus cannot understand. Behind this sign, there is a chest with 200 gil. When finished with the platforms, swim to the center stairs and move into the new area.

Use the save orb near the start of the area and continue across the stone platform over the water.

After a bit, three enemies confront Tidus underwater. After he kills two, the third is swallowed by a larger monster. Seeing Tidus as another source of food, it attacks...

After Tidus escapes the massive sea monster, go up the stairs and through the door. You'll need to build a fire. In the center of the room, there are logs that can be used to start a fire. Go through the door near the save sphere, and search the open drawers for flint. Return to the main chamber. Head North and enter the door marked with a green square. Ascend the stairs and examine the dried flowers to obtain the "Withered Bouquet."

Go back downstairs and return to the firewood and use the flint and bouquet to start the fire. Shortly after Tidus dozes off, the campfire goes out. When he awakes, he realizes he is not alone...

NOW its sets to fighting mode NOW...

It's best just to trade blows with this guy. Keep a close eye on the CTB window on the right side of your screen (the vertical menu with the characters' heads in it). When Tidus has two turns in a row, use a potion to reclaim lost HP, and keep striking Klikk. Eventually, a group of people will blow open a door, and a young person joins Tidus in battle. There will be an on-screen tutorial on how to use Grenades, which will prove useful throughout the game.

After the fight, you'll learn that the person, a young girl, is working with the strange group of people. Tidus is abducted, forced to work on the ship's deck. On the ship's deck, talk to the soldier on the left to get three potions. You can also find Al Bhed Primer Vol 1 in the opposite corner. This will help you to decipher the signs and speech of the Al Bhed Tribe. Now, speak to the girl from before. A short tutorial on the Sphere Grid follows. Afterward, the Sphere Grid command appears in the main menu screen. As an added bonus, Tidus should have gained a Sphere level after the last fight, so you can use it to acquire the Cheer ability.

After talking to the girl a second time, you'll go on a little salvage operation. The main bit of nuisance here is the piranhas. Use this opportunity to get grenades, spheres and AP.

Just inside the ruins, there is a save sphere. Press O (circle) to descend to it. Swim forward and examine the large control panel. After Tidus opens the door, follow the girl into the second corridor. Swim into the next large chamber, where a few more piranhas wait for you. After the fighting, join the girl in examining the device. Although it's intriguing, Tidus will draw her attention to a rather massive foe. Swim back to the first chamber and engage the enemy.

After each character attacks, the beast swims to the other side of the chamber, and a tutorial on Trigger commands appears. On your next turn, press left to enter the Trigger command menu and press Stand By. This restores 50 HP to each character. On Tidus' turn, use Cheer (if available). After the rest, Tros uses its special attacks to hit both of the characters. Your basic goal, now that you have the Trigger command, is to get Tidus to perform a Pincer attack. This causes your characters to surround the boss, preventing any multiple hit attacks from the boss. Now all you need to worry about is recovering health and attacking.

Follow the girl through the hole in the wall and swim in the direction of the red arrow on the onscreen map. The crew returns to the ship, and during the dialogue, use the save sphere. Talk to the girl. Tidus, once again, has another run-in with Sin and is swept away by the current.

After washing ashore, you meet with the local blitzball team. Collect a few items scattered around and follow Wakka to the village. Be sure to talk to all of the blitzball players at least twice in order to get an item. Follow Wakka until you reach a high cliff over a lagoon. After getting shoved into the water, swim around and get a few more items. When you return to dry land, head down the mountain to find a save sphere near the village. There you will find two Crusaders. Wakka teaches Tidus the Prayer of Yevon, and you can explore the village for treasure. Wakka is in the second tent to the right, but Tidus needs to pay a visit to the temple on the hill (see below). Outside the first tent on the left is a phoenix down, inside is an item shop. When you're finished exploring, stop by the Crusaders' Lodge on the left side of the village. Speak with them on the origin of the Crusaders and their war against Sin. Rest at the inn or look at the sphere monitor next to the desk. After speaking with the Crusaders, walk up to the temple on the hill. After a discussion about summoners and the principles of Yevon, return to Wakka's hut and take a nap. When Tidus awakes, return to the temple and move to Wakka's side. Tidus will eventually get fed up and invades the inner sanctum. Puzzle time.

Tidus has entered an area meant for the faithful of Yevon. There are areas like this one all over Spira in the temples. Using the glyphs and spheres, you must unlock the secrets of the Cloister of Trials to enter the Chamber of the Fayth. This is where summoners go to pray for new Aeons. There is always one powerful treasure hidden in these areas, so keep that in mind when you go to other temples. Back to the puzzle at hand.

Here you will meet Yuna and her guardian, Lulu. Follow the party out of the temple and into the village circle. Yuna will summon Valefor for the first time.

Later that night around the campfire, talk to Yuna. When ready to continue, talk to Wakka and choose the Sleep option. You will have a strange dream. Just move him toward Yuna on the pier.

When you wake up the next morning, examine the lodge attendent's desk for the Al Bhed Primer vol 2. Wakka also gives Tidus the Brotherhood, a new sword. Your party will now leave the village. As you travel up the mountain, you'll take place in a series of tutorial battles. Just follow the instructions. At the top of the mountain, you may pray with the others if you wish, or head North from the place of prayer to the ancient structure. Suddenly, a monster attacks Tidus.

Use the Cheer ability to receive less damage. The best way to beat him is to simply attack him and avoid using healing potions unless absolutely necessary, as Tidus' HP/MP will be fully restored after the battle. Hopefully, Tidus' overdrive will trigger at the start of the battle, thus ending the battle VERY quickly.

Follow the mountain trail past the waterfalls. There are a bunch more tutorials that will be triggered as you go along, so be prepared. One of these involves summoning. Return to the beach and follow the party onto the pier. Before boarding, talk to the townsfolk to receive gifts, including an ether, three phoenix downs, a Seeker's Ring, 400 gil, and a remedy from the little boy on the plank. Board the ship...
