Con: Games that I have bought in retail form that require steam to install. This I have no problem with, but the second these "games" (some not all) require the internet to install regardless of a hard copy retail disc, that is where the difference between retail and online purchases is far and few between. I myself have regular access to the internet but if I'm going to spend that extra cash on a retail copy I damm well prefer to install this/these game(s) offline where excess usage isn't being spent on trivial principal's.
