Yes, Crysis would have gotten game of the year had the graphics been not as good, say CoD4 level. Crysis is amazing, the graphics are great, but it's only a part of the way that Crysis revolutionizes the genre, the game throws so many different scenarios at you, the story is fantastic, the objectives are great, the freedom the game allows you to progress with the nanosuit abilities and open world are fantastic. also going from a war with the North koreans to an alien invasion is great. It starts off as CoD4 only with 10 times the scale, then transitions to a Halo/HL2 hybrid. CoD4 is amazing, so is Bioshock, but Crysis is doing things not only graphically, but interms of variety of gameplay, skill, abilities and physics that havn't been done before anywhere near this well.
