Having been a huge fan of Flatout 2 on the PC, when I recently purchased my XBox 360 Elite, I had to buy Flatout Utltimate Carnage - and I'm glad that I did! It's a fantastic game all about racing as fast and dangerously as you can trying to wipe out your opponents by crashing in to scaffolding, logs, signs and anything else that can leave debris on the track to damage your opponents cars! Do you remember Destruction Derby? Well either way you're in for a treat as there is a destruction derby feature in the game that I can see being an excellent feature for XBox Live. All-in-all I think it's a great game and would give it 7 out of 10.

I figured out the problem. I just had to unplug the thing & plug it back in.JadeTorchwood
Turning it off and back on again fixes everything, fact. :)

I got a Nintendo Wii when they first came out and it was a fantastic new way of playing games with the unique controller that came with it. The best thing about the Wii is that is wasn't really competing with consoles like the PlayStation or 360 it was aimed at families and parties. Raymans Raving Rabbids is a great example of the sort of market they were aiming at and succeeded in. Anyone hear the term Wii60 or Wii360? One console for one type of gaming experience and another for a different kind of experience. I wont be getting a Wii-U for the simple reason of the new controller. With the cost of the controllers significantly more expensive than ever before I just can see any families having 4 controllers like they could do on the Wii for the simple reason of cost. It's going to be the first multiplayer console where most people only have one controller! Not forgetting the 1GB firmware update early adopters have been forced to do as soon as they plug it in! Not surprisingly it's taking a long while and those they dont know what they're doing think it has crashed (when it's just their slow internet connection at fault) and turn it off and on again - normally this action fixes things, but not when your Wii-U has wiped the firmware before starting to download the new version... I'll stick to my XBox 360 I think.

No, Windows 8 is not a failure. It's different, things have changed and people don't like change. Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP/7 all had two things in common, the Desktop and a Start Menu. With Windows 8 the Start Menu has been replaced with something new and as with all things new you have to learn how to use them. Once you get to grips with it and unpin all the apps you dont actually use and then put the ones you do in to some sort of logical order it's actually a nice operating system to use. It's just as stable as Windows 7 and XP and it starts up and shuts-down quicker too. Hyper-V in the pro/enterprise version is a great VM system too. When XP came out lots of people tried to make it look like 95 and then when Vista and 7 came out the same sort of people tried to make it look like XP and now Windows 8 has been released instead of embracing the new User Interface lots of people are trying to make it look like Windows 7 - there are heaps of Start Menu apps out there - not seen a free one yet so get your wallet out if you insist on having one. If you have a touchscreen monitor, a touchscreen laptop or a tablet that supports Windows 8 then you are in for a real treat as thats where most of you know Windows 8 really comes in to it's element. But it's so much more than that and does work well on non-touchscreen desktops and laptops too, you just have to learn something new.
