Listen. I had the same problem with mine. I called them up and told them I know that microsoft knows about this problem. she told me first that it would be a 100 bucks and I told her no. Then she put me on hold for about 10mins and told me that they fix it for free. It actually only took 6 days. I was very happy with that. If you have to pay 100 bucks it will come with a 90day warranty. I would agree that the best course of action is to buy an acarade. Then it would be brand new and have HDMI. If not 100 bucks still isnt that bad. Cheaper than what Sony would charge to fix a playstation.

Also I got the 120gb and it is nice to have but after formating the drive is only 107gb

I got this hard drive for Christmas and I wanted to share some things b/c a lot of people were saying that it isnt worth it. As a gift it is.

1. After I installed the drive it took about an hour to transfer all my stuff. Really I'm not complaining about that

2. The drive is not 120gb after formating and deleting all of microsofts junk they put on it. The drive is actually only 107GB

3. After installing games on the hard drive, since the disc drive is not spining, yes the 360 is very very quiet. I have the old model without the HDMI

4. My own opinion but it does seem that overall the 360 moves a lot faster with everything, loading and DVD's.

5. I live in Houston and at Fry's electronics they are selling the drive for 139.99

Still I would say get it so you can install all your games on your hd so your disc drive will last longer.
