I, as a rule, prefer not to partake in "blogs" - due mostly to their over-hyped or frivolous nature. Let me make my opinion clear: "blogging" is not quality journalism. But boy is it a quality means for alleviating whatever annoyances have gripped you on a said day or week. Speaking of aggravating subject matter, what the H is up with Mother 3? I personally have no problems with Mr. Itoi's decision in opting for the game's release on the GBA, nor do I hold contempt for its similar artstyle to the previous entries in the series - it's Mother, after all. The main factor I'm concerned with is the dubious US release. If you've surfed the Information Super Highway over to the Starmen.net forums, then you've seen many attempts to get the surefire hit Mother 1/2 GBA cartridge released over here. Letters. Petitions. Sacrifices to Giygas. You name it, they've tried it, and I believe the most substantial reply they received was from none other than Mr. Miyamoto stating that "Nintendo fans are really solid." Solid, yes. Happy, no. So when it comes to Mother 3, which to me seems to hold a similar destiny (localization wise), I can't help but feel like all of the fans' efforts are going to waste, and that the idea of Earthbound 2 is destined to languish until someone hacks the Japanese ROM. Maybe they're saving it for the Rev's Virtual Console. Then again, they probably aren't. That reminds me - now that we've seen almost every Nintendo character present in Super Smash Bros. Melee get either a re-release or an entirely new game, can we expect to see a new/old Kid Icarus title some time in the near future? Sure, Pitt may have only been depicted in trophy form, but we damn well BETTER.
