It's been a long time since I last blogged but better late than never right?
I've been playing some of the games the most anticipated games of the year lately and I thought I would just give you my impressions of them.
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty 4 is essentially a modern day Call of Duty 2. It has updated graphics, new weapons, and most of all a story most of us alive today can believe. This is one of the first games I've ever played where I thought "I hope this doesn't happen in real life". The single player story is short but like everyone who wrote before me said it's of the up most quality. The ghillie suit mission got my heart pumping and was very immersive. The multiplayer portion of the game is superb. The level system is great and makes the game very addicting. The maps for the most part are enjoyable to play and match making seems to work fine.
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy definitely took some getting used to for me. Specifically the controls is what I had a hard time with. Also some of the levels with the walking upside down and such gave me a headache. But all of that faded away once I got a couple of worlds in. From what I've played so far the level design is like nothing I've seen before and each one seems unique and not just a rehash. Same goes for the worlds themselves as they all seem noticeably different. The difficulty of the game doesn't seem to be very high witch actually benefits the game in this case because it makes a very low intensity and relaxing game. I've become very fond of this game.
Assassins Creed
Picked this game up last night and I must say the LE is huge and really once of you open it up you find that there really isn't any need for it to be so big. This game has been getting mixed reviews and from so far what I've played of it I must agree with GS and give it a thumbs up. The graphics are great and the story seems somewhat interesting. I can tell you right now the story is not what is going to keep me playing this game. On the latter though the mechanics of assassinating someone will. With two assassinations under my belt I can say that stabbing someone with you hidden blade never gets old and Altier is one of the coolest looking characters in a video game in a long time.
