A little of Fear?

Because I recently bought the PC game F.E.A.R.

Yep, I know I'm not much of a PC gamer, but alot of people told me that one day, I had to play that game. So I bought it from some dude at work for 10$!

The only downside is that the game is in french, but I didn't have any problems finding a patch to change the language to english. It sure needed a big update when I installed it, which took me about an hour to download and install, but now all is good.

The biggest problem was that I didn't feel like being bothered with Virtual Consoles and what not in Linux to play my PC games, so basically installed some "kind" of Windows XP SP2 if you know what I mean. Possibly the only reason I don't care about this is because Windows isn't worth the money they make us pay for it, they should pay us to use Windows instead, and not the opposite.

Anyway, I dual-booted my laptop once again, primary side being Ubuntu 8.04 and secondary side being XP, which I gave it a generous 20GB of space since I was looking at my games and F.E.A.R. states needing at least 5GB of space and Condemned (which I plan on restarting eventually) needing at least 8GB of space, so I told myself that I might as well give XP a generous 20GB instead of 10, like I wanted.

It was funny because in my whole life it was the first time that I installed a Windows OS and end up having ONLY the Recycle Bin on the desktop, nothing else. It was sweet. On it I only installed my HP drivers (graphic, sound, display, synaptics, w-lan), FireFox and Windows Live Messenger so I can keep on chatting with people while I play. I also installed FRAPS in case I want to record something from my PC gaming sessions.

Sure it's not Metal Gear Solid 4 with a PS3, but it cost me 10$ instead of 600 lol. Anyway I still can't afford that PS3 for now, especially with the dentist coming up next week which will steal all of my money, but once that's done I should be able to buy it eventually, soon enough :]

Until then, all the games I have to play, adding F.E.A.R. to the list, will keep me occupied in terms of gaming, that's for sure.
