Megaman/Megaman X/Megaman Zero/Megaman ZX

MMAC PS2 MMXC PS2 MMZ GBA MMZX DS

Yep, as you all probably knew, my favorite top series is Megaman. Why include all these Megaman series? Because they are canon. Although technically Megaman Zero is my favorite of them all, I just can't put only MMZ and forget what started it all and the sequel to the Zero series either. I would of included Megaman Legends since it is suspected to come after ZX, but speculations are speculations, therefore I did not include it.

I've been a fan of Megaman since I was 4 years old, bac in the days of Megaman 2, where I'd get my ass kicked everytime I'd play it. Megaman has come across so many years, now being 20 years old (first Rockman released in japan in 1987 December 17th; yes I even know it's birthday) and still lives to this day. MM also spread over numerous consoles which I'll make a small breakdown here:

MM1 to 6: NES
MMI to MMV: GB
MM7/MMX to MMX3: SNES
MM8/MMX4 to MMX6: PS1
MMX7 to MMX8: PS2
MMZ to MMZ4/Megaman & Bass: GBA
MMZX to MMZXA: DS

I skiped some titles, such as the original japan released only games that were on previous consoles or what not (such as Rockman & Forte on the SNES which is known as Megaman & Bass on the GBA over here) or Megaman Soccer which was also on SNES, etc. I skiped the entire Battle Network/Star Force series because I honestly hate them. I also ommited to include the remakes such as Megaman Maverick Hunter X and Megaman Powered-Up for the PSP, although I own them and totally love them as much as the originals.

There isn't much you need to know storywise, well there is alot, but it would be too long to explain the entire thing. Just know that all of these games (in my favorite series) are 2D Side Scroller games, much like a shhot-em-up kind of game. The first Megaman games were known for their difficulty, which was lowered in the X series, which came back to being extremly difficult in the Zero series (with what you call Cyber-Elves making it easier for less hardcore fans of the series) back to a more, normal, average difficulty with the ZX games. Yet, for some reason, I still love it and play it every now and then. On every December 17th I'll usually sit down and start playing all these games starting with MM1 and go up to the last one they released, today being Megaman ZX Advent. Of course that takes me a long time although most of the Megaman games can easily be done between 1 to 3 hours of gameplay. I just have too many other games to concentrate only on these ones, but if there's something I can tell you is that I know almost all of them by heart, 100% complete, everything. These are the games I probably played the most often in my life out of every single games that exist out there. That's more often than Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros 3 combined!
