I know everyone is doing stuff like "Top games" and Forte just underwent "top 5 games for (insert console)" which he will list his top 5 games for each console. I decided to list my top series instead, since I can't decide on which games specifically of a series. By the way, Night and Donut, I've replied to both your last comments on my last blogs, so if you want you can go read the reply.
By the way, since I am one that talks alot when I go on and ramble about games, I'll make my top 5 in a 5 blog span instead of cramming all that stuff into one blog, knowing that people will check up the image and jump over the text lol. Honestly, most games aren't numbered to my eyes, like #5 is not truely #5, but I do attribute a number for countdown purpose more than anything else. I'll make a 6th blog also, for games worth of mention that did cross my mind when thinking about my choices. I'm still soooooo undecided lol.
#5
Devil May Cry
Taking the #5 spot is Devil May Cry. Now, I'm kinda sad to give it #5 because they are really good games and well yeah..I give numbers for countdown purpose only, else there wouldn't be any. Anyway, despite DMC2 being not so good, still a good game, but quite disapointing, and despite the fact that I have yet to play DMC4 (you imagine I can't wait to buy a PS3 for it), Devil May Cry stands amongst my favorite series for alot of reasons: Dante is the **** the atmosphere of the game is particularly strange and amazing, etc. The combat system is what makes DMC what it is though. Challenging game with deep combat system, much deeper than people expect. People normally expect DMC to be a button masher hack 'n slash and alot claim that they beat the games by doing the boring button mashing. I tried it, only to prove them wrong. If you button mash and nothing else in DMC, you die within the first 5 minutes. Everything is much more complex than we think. Evading requires alot of skills and practice and landing the attacks at the right moment is all about the good timing and I think that's why many people gets turned down by the game. It's the type of game that, although being in 3D, brings us back to the feeling we had when we first played Ghosts 'N Goblins, or the first Castlevania, or the first Megaman when we were like 4-5 years old. The feeling to kick the **** out of your TV and bring your console to the church because it's been cursed with the evilness of the game. This does not apply to DMC2 though, since it is by far the easiest game of the bunch so far. Perhaps even too easy, which is mostly why I was disapointed with it.
