Waltz with Bashir is beautiful, most of the time. It is an animated film/documentary about a man trying to remember his past and what he did in the war with Lebanon many years ago. He thinks he and his old friends were part of a devasting massacre that killed many palestinians. The film is very political and has a very unusual animation style. Alot of the film looks like a weird 3D version of a mix of the old Johnny quest and Sealab. Most characters have oddly robotic movements and not many small muscle movements like in a pixar film. If you can get past the odd style you will find that Waltz with Bashir is a beautiful and tragic film about a man trying both remember and forget his horrific past. For an animated film it is very violent and has some nudity, not in the usually over the top anime style way but in a more realistic way. I highly recommend this film and I hope it wins best animated feature. I found it much better and more interesting than Wall-E
Overall I give it a 9.5 out of 10
