Enjoy one and all:D
1. The Life Pursuit- Belle and Sebastian
This is the perfect pop albums, everything about it works. It is an album of blissful melancholy, a vageuly depressing collection of songs about hopes and shattered dreams in the least cliche way possible. I identify with this album personally because I love the lyrics and how they tell stories about more realistic people as apposed to the sugary sweet pop crap that tells lies of true love and happiness. Sure there is love, and there is occasional happiness but I love this album because it is about the good and bad of life and how it can be a bit crap at times. It is one of the few albums with nothing but good songs, I cant think of a single problem I had with this album.
2. Odessey and Oracle- Zombies
3. Wish you were here- Pink Floyd
4. Thick as a brick- Jethro Tull
One of my favorite concept albums ever.
5. Act 1: The Lake south, the river north, Act 2: The Meaning of and all things regarding Ms. Leading, Act 3: Life and Death- Dear Hunter
These three albums are all part of one single experience, one epic and awesome story that spans multiple genres. Shut up I make the rules:evil:
6. In Absentia- Porcupine Tree
7. Let Love In- Nick Cave and the bad seeds
One of the most depressing and beautiful albums I have heard. I was debating between this album, and The Boatman's Call but in the end I chose the more dreary one.
8. Disintegration- The Cure
I only got into this band recently, but I love this album this much already
9. Birds of fire- Mahavishnu Orchestra
10. Revolver- The Beatles
11. Rings Around The World- Super Furry Animals
12. Quadrophenia- The Who
13. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness- Smashing Pumpkins
14. The Holy Bible- Manic Street Preachers
15. Puressence- Puressence
16. Experiments in Mass Appeal- Frost
17. Circulatory System- Circulatory System
18. In the Court of the Crimson King- King Crimson
19. Six- Mansun
20. Lola versus powerman and the money go round part 1- The Kinks
