I'm a Capcom collector.
Q: My goal?
A: To obtain every single, frickin' lickin', Capcom game published in the United States.
Previously, I had almost all Capcom titles for the Game Cube. 95% of these games can be found in your typical gaming store in the 'used' section. For back titles, you have no choice but to buy second hand. I only buy used games if they are near mint condition, complete with instruction book and scratch free game. I also tend to buy from GameStop over Electronic Boutique, simply because their pricing stickers are easier to take off - I dont end up wasting my game case just to remove the corporate lables.
EBay is another option, but I prefer to pay using PayPal and PayPal decided to crap out on me.
Anyway, after a period of time bulding up my collection, I came to the last game on my list - Resident Evil 2. Capcom fans know well that the RE ports are rare to find on the GC; especially RE2 and 3. This is because Capcom apparently published a small amount for the GC, since they are old cross-platform titles.
That damn game was such a tease. Every six months I would come across a copy, but there was something wrong each time. No cover, no instruction book, ex rental with blockbuster stickers, or over priced, etc.
I was getting pretty desparate, but I knew that if I compromised my standards, I would not be completely happy with my collection, or the actual game; so I stuck to my guns.
Well, things happen when you least expect 'em, and thats exactly what happened with this game. I stroll into a GameSpot hoping for a semi-interesting PS1 game to buy for 5 bucks, and come across a copy of RE2 in near mint condition! I snached that thing faster than a bullet to a zombie head!
It's official - I now own every Capcom game published for the Game Cube!
