sniplge777Cant aruge on game releases being dictated from Japan / USA. But I was taking your comment to mean net speeds etc for DLC.

Depends on where you are, parts of the UK are testing 100mbps cable lines at the mo. Japan etc out in the east are running 100+ meg a second right now without any probs.
.... And since the world is based on what the USA can Do....lge777Sorry, who told you that one?!? America is based on what America can do. The rest of the world gets on just fine with its internet speeds depending on how its own setup is built. One country no matter how big or small in the scheme of things does not dictate how fast the net works in foreign lands.
If you already got an old style PS3. I'd stick with that and just get the cash your mum is wanting to pay to the PS3 slim put to something else. The Slims exactly what you have already. Just smaller.
If you planning on using the laptop itself to do the back up. Then no, it wont work. I dont think the PS3 will reconise the laptop when its plugged directly in. Also if your going to start screwing with your HDD's partitions. You will loose all data on it or at least that section if the drives been split into smaller sizes than 1 large TB drive. It would just be faster and easier to get a 30gb flash pen and use that for your backup. Anything over 30gb cannot be formatted into FAT32 and will lock to a NTFS setup. The PS3 will only see media storage thats formatted in FAT32.
It does? The one I have on the Sony site never updates unless I change the background or update some text on it. Your one working fine?Thats because you guys are using a third-party website for your trophy cards...
go to your PSN account instead on sony website and get a gamer card there - then it will update very quickly

Wasnt HOME supposed to be kinda fancy mini dash waaaayyy back at the start when it was first announced? Which game launching and the trophy room was a part of. Last I checked neither have appeared. The idea of it was nice though, just to get people talking and interacting on PSN. But instead of going to all that hassle etc, wouldnt packing a decent blue tooth mic in the box have been a bit more succesfull? It defo wouldnt have my ears getting raped in turn off some of the cheap and nasty mics on PSN that have to pick up and transmit every stupid bit of noise going on in their room when im in the middle of Killzone.
360 did that and you find people talking most the time, mind you other times im reaching for the mute feature on their gamer card. :P
