While some points are spot on (graphics being bad), but some other points I experienced no issues with. I personally was never booted from uplay while playing and I reached level 50 and have 3 cars almost maxed out. As for the cops getting a "burst of speed" I never experienced this, whenever I got ahead of them it was easy to maintain the distance (don't crash, duh). Complaints about the take out the enemy are definitely warranted. The complaint about the side missions that require you to drive off road are for the raid and dirt class cars, because they drive off road... Once you hit 50 you can now get platinum level parts on any mission or side event in the game (very surprised none of this was mentioned) and you cant do the jump and speed sub events with the dirt and raid cars due to their lower speed. The other complaint I have is platinum parts, they are usually a bit challenging to get, but the annoying part is they are between level 40 and 50 and what determines which level the part is you get is completely random, which is lame. I also have never encountered an AI drive off the track like the reviewer says, while I DO see that in Forza 4 (which I consider the best racing game). As far as car handling goes, it seems like every other arcade racer... nothing seems particularly bad here to me... Playing missions in crews also doesn't scale up the difficulty at all. What will happen though, is if one player is much better than the other the AI will race much better to challenge the better player which can leave the worse player in the dust. For example in the final race it took me and this one guy 3 tries to win, we won because I let him take the lead (he was the worse player) while I sat in the back, so the AI matched his skill level which allowed me to come in first by waiting till the race is nearly finished to take the lead and the AI would take to long to match my skill level (or I could not crash near the end like I was doing on the other runs). One last thing I would like to add is regarding being barred from doing story missions by not meeting level requirement. Only ONCE in the entire game was I barred for not being a high enough level and I did no grinding once so ever. If I hit one of those side missions I did them, but I didn't actively search for them while playing through the story. Additionally I never used the fast travel feature until I played the main game. While I don't think this game is great or amazing, I think it is definitely a 7 and not the 5 it was given here.

@Trueknight64 Eclipse is probably one of my favorite board game (other than maybe dominion). There's just so much involved so many different ways to win. The rise of the ancients expansion also was a good sized expansion brought tons of new stuff.

In other words eclipse is awesome.

Seems The Division will do better as it is getting that pc release. I find it odd that bungie would release the game on 360 and ps3 and ignore the pc. It seems to me that the pc version would do a lot better than those platforms. I for one wont be getting this game unless it gets a pc release because I don't want to play it on an outdated console.

Looks kinda cool to me, but these feature should have been in awhile ago and aren't adding much. Probably going to pass on it as well as battlefield 4 unless I get stable proof that every building is destructible. One of my issues with battlefield 3 was there being more indestructible building than destructible ones.

@Eddie-Vedder @Firefoyx I'm ignorant, yes, if an 8 is seriously considered a bad review for a game then I do know nothing about reviews. Your using a score to compare to completely unrelated games. That being said the last of us most certainly has flaws and they occasionally stand out. The ai can be quite bad. The game gives you few options to take when it comes to combat and forces you to go through stuff. To be honest the game is more like a good movie than a complete game. That being said that is not necessarily a bad thing. Claiming this to be a 9 would be a mistake though. In my opinion a 9 would be a game that would be enjoyed by a large variety of gamers. This game does not do this. The audience of this game will surely enjoy it because it is a great game, but to someone else this game would most certainly not be appealing.People are just currently obsessed with the current great story thing. Hence this and bioshock being so overrated. As games they are not the most amazing things ever, but looking them as an experience they suddenly become much better.

TLDR: The last of us is more experience than actual game which will cause some to love it and some to hate it... which means it is not superior aka 9.

You know video game scores as a whole are over valuated when people flip out over an 8. Look at movie review scores seeing 8's means absolutely amazing. Reviewers for game need to stop handing out 9's constantly and think a little more about it.

Furthermore take a look at gamespot's rating system. This is describing an 8 game. "This range refers to great games that are excellent in almost every way and whose few setbacks probably aren't too important. We highly recommend games in the upper half of this range, since they tend to be good enough to provide an enjoyable experience to fans of the particular genre and to new players alike." I don't know about you, but the review sounded like there were some setbacks that aren't too important.

Score perfectly appropriate.

I've always liked the treyarch cods more (except 4 beat out waw). I really like some of the new additions. I'm really liking the quad rotors as I was planning to make one over the summer after watching the university of Pennsylvania videos on youtube (where it also seems like treyarch got the idea based on the second video showing parts of the video)
