I think Quake 4 has the best flashlight not only does it look very good but the battery will never drain. Even so with a good looking flashcone it can be quite scary as you see all the shadows and glimts of an enemy. I wouldent call it "game mechanic" if you cant see anything. You become imobile and waiting for a battery to recharge isnt very immersive. I recently played fear and i must say that was the most annoying flashlight ever. For me the game isnt scary and i just wanted to see where the level goes and to stand in the middle of a room in pitch darkness is just tedious, you can fumble around like a old man if you want but that can be quite dangerous and disorientating. I did that a couple of times in various games in a firefight and it usually ended up me falling a few hundred feet down a ledge.

Incase you never noticed you dont have a sig, And many companys offer service to RMA a faulty component that is, if it was not a user error that caused it. So stop making an ass out of yourself and if you are dumb enough to not mention what component you got from a reseller then its not manufacturers fault that they cant help you.

[QUOTE="Firingdudes"]enough to use internet to find any answer for free. Maybe you dont have time for internet? Try the motherboard manufactioners website next time there. luamhtrad

I have plenty of time for the internet. However, forum sites are not the authoritative source for information. And once again, if educated with your ample internet answer finding expertise, you would know that Dell has custom mobos in their laptops. My question concerned processor upgrade compatability and tech support was called after exhausting the possibility of finding it on their webpage at that time. Thanks again for that enligtening banter.

Since you incoherently brought up that you got a laptop then i guess you are tied to their service. but for the desktop and those that have specified built systems dont need to pay for such support because its accessible and free on the respective website or throughout internet. Its not hard to find, Maybe dell's website is uninformative and crappy or you dident try enough to find a answer. personnaly i would never charge for a service to ask such simple question.

If you live in your moms basement shut up!, If you have bills, money for a food for a month and all other expenses and still have 8500$ left in one go then you can talk. Yes it can take months to afford one of these systems.

No one here has the right to bash ZBoater or luamhtrad.

Their computers are a lot more powerful then your's, and they were able to afford it, which is why the extra $500 in costs or so isn't a matter to them.

Now, the XPS are line may be pricey, but for those who can afford such a system get the satisfaction of some of the best parts you can buy on the market, enjoy full time tech support, 4 year warranty and a guarantee that the system WILL WORK.

Also, if anyone here can build the following system for "A LOT LESS" than $8500, please do so:

- Max Sized ATX case

- 30" LCD Monitor

- 5.1 Speakers

- Intel Core 2 Quad QX6700

- Mobo that supports SLI and quad core

- 4 Gigabytes of DDR2-667 RAM

- 2 NVIDIA 8800GTX

- PhysX Card

- Sound Blaster XFi Pro

- Liquid Cooling System

- 2 TERABYTES of storage (include 2 Raptors)

- 850-1000w PSU

- 2 SATA DVD-RW

- Decent Keyboard and Mouse

- 4 Year Electrical Warranty

For those who can afford it, and don't have time for custom rig, the Dell XPS/VoodooPC/FalconNW systems are the best of the best.

LOL  no one wants to build the following system,  first of all on a performance scale it is nothing high above a custom 2500-3500$ system, physx card? total waste, 4gb RAM? for XP total waste for Vista? still waste, 2TB storage? good luck with that. Liquid cooling fine but what kind of crap has dell glued on to the components? dont expect some miraculous overclocking without a next day chat with the dedicated google searchers.

Its funny how you emphizise that most dont have time to build a custom PC yet you can still throw thousends of dollars away which you spent months on work to get

[QUOTE="Firingdudes"]Yeah you got time to sit on your ass while you on the dell support queue line waiting for some lazy represantive that give you some half arsed answers and then you end up sending your computer away for a few weeks. I rather hear what the "15" year old has to say because there is not much difference either way.luamhtrad

No, actually the XPS systems have dedicated AMERICAN support lines. I called and had an answer about my bios in five minutes. I also have same day on-site tech support if I need it. Way to educate yourself before posting.

I also love it how all the first time builders flood the forums with "My new cheaper than Dell custom built comp doesn't work help me please!!!!" :D

luamhtrad

yea but atleast they saved thousands of dollors in turn for a few minutes of posting on a forum.

Possibly, but there are some people that keep posting problems day after day after day after day...

My time is more valuable than waiting for a 15 year old to give me his best guess on a computer problem.
