the slim has a less chance of getting the ylod. heres my suggestion get the disc out by using 2 methods 1)dissassambe and get it out manually (hard, would reccomand as the last thing to do ) 2) do the hairdryer trick to get it working for a day or two and get the game out. then get a slim version and keep on playin :P

add resistance 3 to your list its focused on singleplayer course there is multiplayer but the experiance lies in singleplayer + it has 2 player co-op perfect when you have a friend over

well to be honest i think the warranties are correct ATM. the warrenty for the ps3 lasts for 2 years thats to ensure that you werent given a broken console at purchase what happens to it after that time is soully your fault, i mean why would sony exchange an old 4 year old console for a brand new and a better one if they had nothing to do with its problems and you were the one that broke it. but i gotta say having a ps3 from jan 2007 till today is impressive :P btw i would suggest getting a new slim version for 250 rather then repairing that one for 200
