Nice month for games.

I platinumed inFamous 2 in exactly two weeks making it my 15th platinum trophy overall.

Already put 30 hours into DW: Gundam 3 in a week. May as well go for that platinum as well, what's another 50-60 hours?

The Witcher 2 is awesome and I STRONGLY recommend anyone who doesn't have a capable PC, but has a 360, to scoop this game up when it comes out for the system. Fantastic game so far. Pretty much has RPG GOTY in the bag.

Dissidia 012 is really fun, I really like the new additions to the game although I find the new characters to be pretty underwhelming for the most part.

The Da Vinci Disappearance was very good for the $5 I got it for because of the Ubisoft PS Store sale. Good characters but a bit on the short side to justify its regular price of $10.

Outland is beautiful looking, but very overrated. I don't think it's at Braid mega-overrated caliber, but it's pretty close.

Next game on my radar is not until the end of August, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It's still a potential buy at this time, but I'm more than likely to pick it up. The only for sure game I'll be getting is Persona 2 for PSP on September 20.

Steam Summer Sale has been sucking so far, just got two games so far from it (but those games are for next blog :P )

Short blog for obvious reasons :P Most of this month was mostly Mortal Kombat and Supreme Commander 2. I'm starting Nocturne back up once my second playthrough of Persona 3 Portable is finished and I'm waiting until summer to play Mass Effect.

For the PSN free games whenever the PS Store is back up, I'm only getting Wipeout HD for PS3 since I already own 3 out of the 5 games offered and I don't want Dead Nation. But for PSP I plan on getting Modnation Racers and Pursuit Force.

Picked up DiRT 3 this week, love it. If you like rally and other offroad stuff you'll love this game.

So that's about it for this month. Just waiting for inFamous 2 in about 2 weeks as well as E3. Should be some good announcements. At least I hope :P

Rather...strange month to be sure, I'm not even going to bother with the obvious happenings so I'll leave that at the door.

Mortal Kombat is as fun as I thought it would be judging from the demo. It's good 'ol MK so I felt right at home playing it. My main so far seems to definitely be Smoke. Still trying to figure out who my sub is going to be with the tag matches. No idea yet but I know one of the candidates is Cyrax. Actually getting really good with Jade too and Scorpion, but everyone is good with him :roll:

SOCOM 4 is a very good TPS. Really thought the single player was solid and I like the whole leveling up weapons that adds a good amount of replay value. Just waiting for PSN to be back up so I can actually play co-op with my friends as it was intended from the beginning.

Parasite Eve was great obviously, some of the best $6 I've spent in the PS Store in a long time. Can't wait for the second one.

Lunar is fun and while it can be a bit slow where I am, I can see once the game actually opens up it's going to be a great one. I just wish the loading (while not lengthy) didn't break the immersion. Because everytime you go into a house or different room, the screen goes black and the BGM mutes, so it really breaks the immersion when you're playing. But that's just a nitpick of mine.

For May, right now just LA Noire is on my radar. But the only thing I'm worried about with that is the replay value. Since it's a detective game mostly, I feel that once you already know who's who in each case it's not going to be as fun anymore. So I've been contemplating about waiting until it's $30 or something. The next big purchase on my list is inFamous 2 in June. I preordered the Hero Edition so I can't wait for that :P

The 3rd Birthday

Well first off I got my Killzone 3 platinum trophy:

So that's my second platinum for 2011 so far.

Yakuza 4 is pretty much the only game that mattered to me this month, just about into my 60th hour. Two more trophies until that platinum. But it's going to test my patience with some of those ultimate challenges. I'm not afraid of Extra Hard mode so that one won't be a problem. But yeah, so far Yakuza 4 is my favorite game this year. It'll probably be in my top 3 of 2011 overall, since right now I can only see Uncharted 3 and inFamous 2 being able to be better.

Xenogears is a great game, I can definitely see what the hype behind the game was. If Yakuza 4 didn't take up all of my gaming time I'd probably be playing that mostly.

The 3rd Birthday I just started tonight. I really like it so far, I think the gameplay is great, I don't know why some people *cough* GS *cough* said the gameplay was tedious...because it's not :roll:

So there are two releases I'm looking forward to in April, the big one being Mortal Kombat. Loved the demo, felt right at home playing it, going to be an awesome reboot. The other game is SOCOM 4, mostly for the co-op since most of my friends are getting it and for single player. Ironically not for the online multiplayer because the SOCOM community as you know is friggen hardcore even though a lot of SOCOM fans are whining and b****ing that it's not the "same". But hey, can't please everyone.

Nice month of free downloads, been basically just playing Killzone 3 online now. Working for the platinum, just have to beat the game on Elite and mop up 3 multiplayer trophies and 2 co-op. If all goes well I'll have the plat before Yakuza 4 comes out.

Well 2011 started off very good for me with finally getting a new desktop and of course Mass Effect 2. Already got my first platinum trophy of the year as well: Bayonetta. So that brings the platinum trophy count to 12. Speaking of trophies I passed the 2,000 mark about 2 weeks ago.

So for the games:

Mass Effect 2 - Self-explanitory (well duh...)

Costume Quest - Bought it during the PSN 50% off sale. Really fun game, I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. A lot more to the game then I expected. I liked the places you got to explore and it all fit very well with the setting. And I HATE Halloween, so that's saying something there.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - I have it for PS3 but bought it on Steam for $20 just to test out my new PC. Can run it very nicely on the highest settings.

And that's about it for me. Preordered Killzone 3 and Yakuza 4 so the next 2 months are set for me. And maybe Xenogears will finally release on PSN soon...

So a nice set of games this past November. Should have been an explosive month as far as sales go for the gaming industry, definitely more so than November last year.

After 7 long years, finally the next installment in the Golden Sun series is finally here actually making me finally pick up my DS again after 7 months of collecting dust. From what little I've played so far I'm not going to be disappointed with this one.

Brotherhood had an awesome single player, although not as good of a story as ACII (understandably) it's fighting mechanics are the best in the series thus far. Chaining attacks is basically what the game needed straight from the get-go. The ending was a lot more LOLWTF than ACII so it really leaves you wanting more in anticipation for ACIII.

GT5 is exactly what I expected it to be, a GT game. Sad that the hype that fanboys spewed made it seem like God's gift to the world, thankfully it's actual fans knew what to expect. So saying that, I'm really enjoying my time with GT5, just as addicting as the previous four.

Basically it comes to this, if you're not a car enthusiast/lover, then do us fans a favor and don't buy the game and leave us alone, it's simple. It's like EVERY other GT game and it's unfortunate that people are only buying it because it's a PS3 exclusive. You play GT games for the love of the cars and their mechanics, not because of cockpit views and s***.
