I love these topics, in all honesty, it boils down to personal preferance. Gaming on a console to gaming on a PC is VERY diferent and are like entirely seperate cultures. I am a console gamer, but have a number of PC games that I enjoy.
Saying that one is better than the other is wrong, none of you should imply your own resolutions and acceptions on another person and expect said person to kneel before your own idea of good and bad...that leads to even more conflict and disagreement.
What we should agree however, is that both are either very good, or very bad(however critical you may be). There are clearly games that demonstrate an obvious perfection on the PC system, and there are games that demonstrate an obvious perfection on a console. There are also specific genres of game that excel on only one machine, eg. MMORPG, SIM. on PC and Drving/Racing, FPS on Console...(I know that FPS is going to make someone flame me lol)
Also, I think the main reason why this type of topic still exists is because of the consol gamers not liking the keyboard set up and PC gamers not liking the controller set up. Again this is about personal preferrance and saying one is better than the ohter will yield no results regardless of howmuch meaningless facts or references you give to back up either one. If this debate of which control set up to use, I suggest a game of HALO3, involving players 8 players of equal professional skill. One team on PC using Mouse and Keyboard and the other using the 360 Controller. BTW, HALO3 will support the "Live Anywhere" feature that will allow console to Vista PC gaming over Xbox Live. This may not be the most appropriate way to solve this, but it sounds so frakking fun lol.
