I seem to recall that they agreed that they had done things that fans disliked and aimed to correct this in the next one.TreflisI remember them saying something like that as well. How does this correct purchases made by people of DA2, as a series continuation, at full price for half the game only to be further insulted by a DLC of armor changes they wanted to charge for. Simply incredulous.
I believe they will make changes as well, preferably Department Heads that roll on over to the unemployment line or whomever decided it was a great idea to hurriedly rush out a seemingly incomplete product just to beat the release of other games and charge full price to boot.I have faith in BioWare. They said they would fix the issues that the fans didn't like and I belive that they will.

I agree and think that there is something of a tossing out the baby with the bathwater thing going on over there. OMG they are gonna make me get D3 now after an 11 year wait. :P [QUOTE="smerlus"]Obsidian's Mask of the Betrayer and NWN 2 was better than the original (unless you were looking forward to the online portion which was dead in the water), The Wicher is often seen as a better experience than the DA games. Gothic 1,2,3 and Risen are favorites of PC RPG fans over Oblivion. There is room for main stream RPG's and also lesser known but just as in depth RPG's. The JRPG crowd has the Final Fantasy series but when you ask them what the best JRPG's are you get answers like Persona 3, or obscure titles no one has ever heard of. They're not blockbusters but they may do things better than the titles that are advertised like crazy. Yeah, NWN sequel got better as did Witcher 2, and the Diablo series. Gothic was fun too. I did enjoy DA:O but its sequel well.......DOA. I am with you there that there's plenty of room for quality RPG's....period.I hate to say it but I really just think that Bioware has lost touch with it's fanbase and while it's a sad thing to see, the moment a Bioware rep said they wanted the COD crowed I think we all knew in which direction they were going as a development studio.

Their earlier stuff was great fun indeed. I don't agree to the "decline" theory as it seems to me to be more of a sudden drop for a quickie in quickie out COD and while we're at at let's call it an RPG too thing. A decline infers a slow downward slope where as: for example, from DA:O (RPG) to DA2 was a drop off the cliff. No slow graceful fall into decline there. Sorry for my wall of replies to this. :DYou act is if their 10 games have the same amount of quality in them which is untrue. BioWare's earlier games are usually seen as RPG classics and I'd say that extends all the way to KOTOR. ME had issues, ME2 has people arguing if it's really an RPG, There was that Sonic Game, Jade Empire was take it or leave it, NWN original campaign was boring but the expansions improved it. DA was some what a return to form but the amount of stuff they put in the game still wasn't as good as BG II and DA2 was a fiasco.
People aren't seeing 10 terrific games. They're seeing a decline, they're seeing games that basically qualify for being an RPG, they see games being made for the COD crowd which isn't even into RPG's. DAII is just the last straw for some people.

I agree as well. IMO sending a loved one off in a less stressful state of mind is preferable to the selfish admission of a personal preference that would knowingly cause emotional harm to that person.Besides as spock would say 'it was an omission, not a lie'.
