Yea, the free replacement if anything happens must be a real burden.
It is a burden when you have to ship it off to Microsoft, andthen wait.
My 360 is fine so far, but if I have to send it off to Microsoft because of RROD, I'm not exactly going to be pleased. It's obviously a burden.[QUOTE="Thompsonwhore"][QUOTE="Puckhog04"] [QUOTE="CowboyR0y"]I'm a cow and even I don't think the PS3 is better then the 360... yet. What a horrible excuse.
"Well if it breaks down, you can just send in and get another one and buy back all the stuff you downloaded!"
I expected an ignorant post such as yours.
1. About 25% of them are getting the RROD, nowhere near all.
2. It's the console that gets the RROD, not the HDD. In other words, the HDD is taken off (hence the reason you take off the HDD when it gets sent in) and you send in only the console. Therefore, a week later or so when you get it back, you put back in your HDD and you have all the same stuff back.
3. And i suppose not buying a console (when you want it's games) due to some hardware failures when the manufacturer has a warranty that covers you for 3 years from when you buy the console is a viable excuse for not buying it, right? It works both ways. You say "OMG, it might break" then MS says "We replace/fix it for free". Cry all you want, i'm right.
You shouldn't be expecting anything, when yours was clearly the ignorant post. He may have been mistaken about the downloadable content, but you're down right ignorant for thinking it's not a burden to get something like RROD. Understand what an opinion is.While I myself appreciate the extended warranty, it's stilla burden nonetheless when you have to send it in, and wait for a new one. Why couldn't they spend the money to get the problem fixed instead of extending the warranty? Doesn't leave me with much confidence in the hardware. So far, my 360 is fine, but if I get the RROD, I'm obviously going to be pretty damn annoyed, and not happy about having to send it back to Microsoft. If you don't mind having to replace something you spent good money for, that's fine, but don't go around telling everyone else it should be the same for them.
You aren't right about anything. You're just posting your opinion.
I'm amazed that you don't think RROD is a viable reason not to get the console. It clearly is. There are many people out there who don't spend good money on equipment with high defect rates. What do you think hardware reviews are for?Who's that ugly redneck in your avatar?
