I came home from work today to find a UPS delivery attempt notice through my letterbox.

Could this be my Xbox 360 finally bieng returned from Microsoft Customer Support!???

I contacted Microsoft about two weeks ago to tell them that I had the "Ring of Death!"

I had to wait 7 days for the delivery labels to arrive in the post, I then sent the console off by UPS on the 13th of September, they recieved it on the 14th of September.

I was told in my conformation e-mail that the repair order current turn aroundisup to 25 working days.

Then on the 20th of September I decided to phone Microsoft Customer Support to see what was going on, the guy on the end of the phone say "It takes 25 working days from the day we recieve it"

This if true means I'm due to get my console back around the 19th of October! This in my opinion is dire, my first console I sent off was returned after 3 days!

I just want to know why the conformation e-mail said one thing and the guy at customer support says another thing!

Come on Microsoft help a loyal customer out and give me a definate answer!

I hope that Take 2 by pushing back the release date of GTA:IV to 2008 will make it a truly outstanding game, but, was there really any need for it to go back as far as April??

I can understand that they would like to get all of the kinks and bugs ironed out of the game before it's release so they hopefully won't have to put up with sour people moaning on forums and blogs about how poor the game is and how much they have rushed it, but wouldn't the end of november or december been a better idea??

As Peter Moore said at Microsoft's conference at E3 this year, 3 franchises helped the videogame sales of holiday period 2004 become the highest on record, GTA, Madden NFL & Halo, now this year we were due for the same thing, GTA:IV, Madden NFL 08 & Halo 3, developers and publishers would be rolling in the cash because they are such a success all over the world, and they only place that you can play all 3 games is Xbox 360!

Come on Take 2 and Rockstar, try to do the right thing! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you do!
