Gotta have the obligatory Bloody Tears. It's too damn good. Dance of Pales, Aquarius, and Vampire Killer.

Actually, now that you mentioned Viewtiful Joe, 2D cell shading might just work with castlevanai if it's implemented properly.propyro
That would definitely be interesting to see. But I'm not so sure that cell shading would really suit Castlevania. Castlevania should be dark, with colors reflecting this theme. Cell shading looks great in games that are bright and use very vibrant colors, like Viewtiful Joe, but I wouldn't imagine it would look as good in the darker settings of Castlevania.

Well, I meant the one for GBA. Basically you beat people up and pick up stuff, then at the end of the level, you can upgrade your abilities with that stuff. There's only so much stuff in the game, so you can't get overpowered. I may prefer a more Metroid-like character development system, though, now that I think about it.dwellerofrhymes
That's a really good idea. Maybe they could take a cue from Mega Man Zero's chip collecting system (except rather than chips, you pick up more Castlevania-ish containers). You collect the containers on each level and then find out what you got at the end of the level. Perhaps your skills could increase based on a ranking system as well. We could have the best of both worlds: Character building from the Castleroids and the level based platforming from the originals.

[QUOTE="ForeverBelmont"] Perhaps Sypha for a girl Geusprime

You realize Sypha Belnades was a man right?

Anyway, Simon is among the names I'd possibly give to a son. But I'm not sure how much that has to do with Simon Belmont being my second favorite videogame character.

Well, Sypha sounds kind of unisex. I'd probably assign it to a girl before I would a boy. The same could be said about Soma.

Hypothetically, would anyone be willing to name your future child after a character in Castlevania. I think either Richter or Maxim would be good boys names. Perhaps Sypha for a girl, or maybe Sonia. Names like Christopher, Trevor, and Simon don't count. They aren't obscure enough. Grant DaNasty would be okay if you included the DaNasty part. So, would anyone be willing to consider it, or would you be too afraid that your children would get beat up on the playground at school and grow up resenting you because you didn't give them a normal, yet tragically common name?

Stance on Video Games in General: I am pretty open minded. I'll play anything so long as the names EA Sports or Rockstar do not appear on the box.
