Actually, now that you mentioned Viewtiful Joe, 2D cell shading might just work with castlevanai if it's implemented properly.propyroThat would definitely be interesting to see. But I'm not so sure that cell shading would really suit Castlevania. Castlevania should be dark, with colors reflecting this theme. Cell shading looks great in games that are bright and use very vibrant colors, like Viewtiful Joe, but I wouldn't imagine it would look as good in the darker settings of Castlevania.
Well, I meant the one for GBA. Basically you beat people up and pick up stuff, then at the end of the level, you can upgrade your abilities with that stuff. There's only so much stuff in the game, so you can't get overpowered. I may prefer a more Metroid-like character development system, though, now that I think about it.dwellerofrhymesThat's a really good idea. Maybe they could take a cue from Mega Man Zero's chip collecting system (except rather than chips, you pick up more Castlevania-ish containers). You collect the containers on each level and then find out what you got at the end of the level. Perhaps your skills could increase based on a ranking system as well. We could have the best of both worlds: Character building from the Castleroids and the level based platforming from the originals.
[QUOTE="ForeverBelmont"] Perhaps Sypha for a girl Geusprime
You realize Sypha Belnades was a man right?
Anyway, Simon is among the names I'd possibly give to a son. But I'm not sure how much that has to do with Simon Belmont being my second favorite videogame character.
Well, Sypha sounds kind of unisex. I'd probably assign it to a girl before I would a boy. The same could be said about Soma.
