I remember when I was 12 I was at the YMCA Lake Highlands. I was taking a swim test and all those times I always got an orange band (It means I can't go to the 5ft area or the slide). But then one day I took a swim test again saying well I'm ready to get the orange, but as I swam I went father and farther in the lap pool. When I was almost at the end I was almost out of Breath but I still kept going I was just seconds away from drowning in the 6ft area I was 5ft 5in at the time. But then I made it. I was coughing and gasping for air. And then I got my green band. I could finally go on the slide and the 5ft area. Now I'm 14 and I'm still proud of it.
