Never experience it because i disabled UAC from day one :DX360PS3AMD05

its made a difference on numerous games, before i was running Gears of War on medium/low settings and it would stutter and freeze every few seconds, im now running it on high setting and its faster, smoother and more detailed than the 360 version!

I actually discovered this though whilst trying to get a respectable framerate from Stalker clear sky, it was literally freezing for around 2-3 seconds constantly, i disabled UAC and it runs beautifully now!

Hi everyone, basically i want some advice on something ive stumbled upon in vista, ive had poor gaming performance on my vista pc ever since i bought it, ive tried everything to no avail, disk cleanup, readyboost, ive purchased Driver Detective, Diskeeper, eusing registry cleaner, Drivercleaner.net, ive changed startup programs and services in msconfig, and windows defender, nothing ever made any difference,

Just recently during one of my endless experiments i decided to disable User Account Control- (Start\Control Panel\User Accounts\Turn User Account Control On Or Off) and since then every game i have plays at least 25% smoother, its made a massive difference, ive been able to increase graphics detail in every game, and they run smoother,

The reason for posting is because i dont understand this, has anyone else had a similar experience? i dont see how vista's UAC can have this sort of impact on games
