Same arguments, same political rubbish, discrimination happens everywhere, and it and of itself is not either a good nor a bad thing, it all depends on what it promotes (example, there is some places you can't go in and smoke, doesn't matter who you are, some companies you can't work for because you don't mesh in with their culture/needs). Promoting a behavior like this appearing in mass media in favor of no-discrimination is just lame, it won't just affect a minority and the effects on society will be worse in the long-run.
How about using the word coming soon and then taking other six months or a year to finish it, isnt this a lie, its blatantly playing with players expectations to build up hype and sell a game better. I don't think people like to be played around with, do they?
Social online games are new and they are the "trend" due to their easy accessibility. People who frequent social networks are people that may not even be gamers at all (gamer i.e. person that plays commercial games not just flash games and windows "games"). What this means is that people who are playing these so called online social games lack the experience of a gamer and so they may pay money for something -let's be honest- that is not really worthwhile. People will take some time to understand and reconsider. I make this assumption considering the poor "fun" factor most of these games have, as the only thing that is working from these games as of now is the "social status" you gain when competing against others. And there are lots of other factors commercial games have that surpass greatly the poor quality which is being given to them with these games. If these games don't change their "longlasting factor" many more people will start calling these games a real waste of time -and money-. Inexperience can lead you to bad choices but once you get to know the better option -most likely- you will aim for it.
I am waiting to see FFXIII. It would be great to see it out even on the market of japan. It is a game not to be missed. Also I think MSG4 will be a masterpiece, since it will end the MSG series.
