I agree, IGN used to be fairly reliable source for reviews and information, these days they are full corporate sellouts. The reviews are obnoxious and untrustworthy.

The new changes for review formatting for user reviews for instance are not that great, its almost like its been charged for a few sentences instead of any in-depth reviews without becoming a 'critic' each time do a review, I try to write at least 2000+ words and 3 - 6 paragraphs, and it feels like metacritic new changes lack any formatting.

Thats a good question lol, been busy and I've still been reviewing games all these days. Its just, forum wise most have either disappeared over the years, or have become just exceptionally toxic.

Lest us not forget though number of sales doesn't necessarily mean the game is good, take Diablo IV for example. It made a huge profit but as a Diablo game it is significantly lacking and a poor excuse for a Diablo game, then another hot take you have political manipulation artificially increasing game sales such as Hogwarts Legacy where the anti-woke crowd purchased the game just to make a political point, sure HL as a game is fine but look at the award nominations and its not even listed.

Lets talk about Zelda: TotK, as a Zelda game its basically BoTW 2.0 but more flawed but since its Zelda, the fanboys will buy it anyway, heck over the years I've championed the idea that Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon could be remastered for new generation consoles, and the Zelda fanboys would bust a nut over it and critics would rate it 100/100

Wow, nice to see some actual democrats in a gaming forum that have some ounce of common sense...and...some obvious Trump supporters that don't. I've been debating the finer parts of Democrats for about 12 years now and from reading some of the anti-democrat posts by someone who will not be named here, ya' full of it mate.

Also nice to see that someone is versed in Project 2025 as well, that is literally as evil and dangerous as you can get for America, if that ever came to pass it would not only start a civil war, it would most likely fracture the US so much the country would probably never recover, and the more scary part is that it could indirectly lead to WW3. Because whether Republicans like it or not, the US is basically a buffer and is the deciding factor here and you take this country out of the general equation for world Geo-political balance, countries like Russia, Iran, North Korea and China would absolutely go on the offensive, even more so that currently if the US is entire pre-occupied with a civil war or splits like the USSR did, Russia would absolutely love to get revenge on the US for its involvement in that, add in China having no competition it could and would most likely target Taiwan, Philippines and even Japan.

As for Ohio and its attempts to sabotage the abortion vote, let them try. The GOP is deeply unpopular, even Trump is unpopular but attempts are made to make it seem like he could beat Biden in 2024, in actual reality the situation is that Trump has done serious and lasting damage to the integrity of the Republican party, maga has made itself painfully obvious that if it can't win, it will sabotage, cheat, rig and even go full fascist to win any power which further isolates them from Americans who know better, many veterans who see fascism for what it is are outraged and for good reason. The only people still supporting Trump are the hardcore MAGA, they are still substantial but thankfully on the decline, would trump still get support next year if it came down to Biden vs Trump? Yes, because you would still get live-long Republicans who could begrudgingly vote out of principle or even vote independent, but Democrats are more unified than ever before with attacks on Abortion, January 6th and the dangerous fascism rising from MAGA, Democrats see this and the elections have proven that - the election a few weeks ago, once again proved that this country has learned that maga is a serious threat to this country.

Don't get me wrong, this country needs a multi-party system, but its clear that a two-party system is no longer viable, and even if the Republican party entirely falls apart and the Democrats become the overwhelming party in US politics, honestly? That isn't good either, that becomes ripe for corruption. This country needs a complete overhaul of the entire political system and judicial system with term limits and better checks and balances to prevent abuse, because Trump clearly demonstrated that the checks and balances don't work.

Hihi everyone, probably no one probably remembers me, I'm a super old [old] member, used to be occasionally post, and review way way back over 20 years ago, until I hopped on the metacritic train and posted reviews there but in recent months with the new changes just being horrendous, I started looking else where to post my reviews and wow, completely forget that GS still existed and apparently my old account still exists.

Probably have to brush off the cobwebs and update my profile somewhat but might start to become more active here again. I wonder how many of the old mods still remain lol ~ so checking my messages, apparently I had some from 11+ years ago which I kinder ghosted, so if anyone who messaged me is still a member (or even alive) then I'm sorry about that lol.

The quest to get level 3 breakthrough is show me a skill #13 which I haven't got that quest yet...I've completed all the other quests, so at the moment the game is in a state of unable to progress.

This is a brand new cause, arenanet have made some really horrible mistakes in the past such as the whole ascended fiasco and backlash, we forgive them because in the end - it wasn't really that big of a deal.  Casual players could still get hold of these items, even if it took slightly longer.

However, come the next patch on Febuary 26th this introduces Guild Missions which is already causing huge backlashes and something that should not be forgiven so easily.  This patch spells disaster for many small and casual guilds, the new guild missions are aimed at very large and highly active guilds only - all other players will either have to potentially wait months, maybe longer just to unlock some of these missions, not neccessily even being able to take them down.

The first guild bounty upgrade on Febuary 26th was for some moronic decision, the guild upgrade was placed into Art of War V catagory meaning, if you was in a PvE based guild, AoW5 has no meaning for you -- and not worth spending valuable influence on in the first place! Bear in mind...these missions are also PVE!!  And thats really on the icing on the cake,  some of the later upgrades are even more hardcore.   Really, it spells a disaster for the game in general if this patch goes live - its going to cause alot of anti-trust in arenanet, it WILL cause alot of people to quit the game - and to prevent this from happening, the players needs to take a stand -

Well, The Diablo 2 launch was better at least it was playable for a few hours before everything went south, and the servers was unavailable for nearly 2 days until they fixed the problems.
