Great choice on the PS3 bud! It is an excellent investment!

I have the following games and highly reccomend all of them: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Call of Duty 4, Warhawk, Guitar Hero 3, Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Oblivion, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Fight Night Round 3.

Don't even bother comparing the PS3 to the Xbox 360. I have both and both have their strengths and weaknesses. I personally prefer my PS3 because I like the controller more. It is also very reliable and has EVERYTHING built in. Microsoft will nickel and dime you for features that should be included (online play, wi-fi, high-def media player, hard drive, rechargeable batteries in controllers). The online play works surprisingly well for a free service. No lag at all if you have a good broadband connection.

I also LOVE the 2008 lineup of games. I'm a HUGE Metal Gear Solid fan and am very excited for Snake's final adventure. I also love the Final Fantasy and God of War franchises.

Finally, last but not least, if you have a PS3 and an HDTV, the Blu-Ray player is a nice bonus. There's no denying that the movies look considerably sharper. I love that Blockbuster rents Blu-Ray movies!

Unless you didn't notice its 50$ a year, not bad either, cause they do give you you're moneys worth, personally i don't need the high def mediaplayer, the harddrive pretty much comes free, ok i can understand the rechargable batteries thing, wi fi.... i could careless thats what i have a cable for. some features you just dont really need, alot of them things they charge for are not really too important so therefore i dont buy it.

i did get a ps3 for mgs, but thats about it, everything else thats not a ps3 exclusive i pretty much get for 360 because xbox live is just better then psn, and xbox live has alot more players.

and all u sony fans can trash talk halo cuz its gay yeah pretty much true, coming from the guy who has halo 3, its garbage, cod4 is 1000xs better, anyway yeah.... lol

Broken consoles? Never had a "Broken Console" besides i've had 360 and ps3 since their launch, ps3 is still far far away from getting to its full potential, HOME will help ps3 out alot and i can't wait til that comes out, but right now ps3 isn't worth it.

I'll have to agree with nyyankee, PS3 is still no wherenear its full potential and its hardly any fun at the moment, 360 is just a better choice right now, i would suggest buyinga 360 before buying a ps3, 360 will be tons of fun no joke, don't go by what fanboys say, 360 is amazing, just like ps3 will be in the next several months, but right now i think 360 is you're best choice, especially if you like online gaming.

I got both consoles but i'm just liking 360 more...
