"Actors that couldn't throw a punch"

You think Robin Shou, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Keith Cooke can't throw punches? I could throw in some other names but at it's time this film had some of the best fight choreography you could see in a movie, not to mention some actors with actual martial arts backgrounds.

Sorry you didn't like Chris Lambert. I didn't think they were kidding at all. Actually makes more sense to me that an ageless immortal god would be more eccentric than bold. A game to film that actually didn't suck for once but I guess everyone is a critic, huh? ;]

Yea, the writing is as awful as stated and the price is a little high for what it is but the combat is somewhat fun. I'd give it a 6.5/10 gamewise as of my current playtime. I don't think it warrants a score as low as a 4.

Not really a game but more of a toy that wants you to think about existential curiosities and question what sentience means to you, inspired by Watts' recordings while experiencing different viewpoints in nature. If you take it as what it is then it's a neat little diversion but do not expect gameplay. So definitely not for everyone!

My only complaint about the presentation of this experience is the tumbling of the larger creatures. The flowers, trees, landmasses, birds and sea creatures grow and animate nicely, insects and small mammals at least jitter but larger animals tumble. It appears as though it's some kind of bug but was clearly done on purpose. Perhaps something else to ponder..

@pcps4xb: See, but I am fallible. I thought the Elder Scrolls Online looked like the worst pile of shit to ever come out although everyone told me different. Yet I recently started playing and can't get enough. I woulda missed out on a lot of good games if I hadn't listened to at least SOME consensus and the consensus here is quite overwhelming. I've yet to see a review under 9.

Wow.. this is pretty pathetic of Gamespot. Star Citizen HAS NOT switched engines. That is false and a blatant click bait tag line to rile up anyone who has doubts about the project. They are still using the updated CryEngine they've been working on for years. They have simply integrated code from Amazon's Lumberyard for the network backend to facilitate cloud server functions. That's it. Period. The article tries to make it sound like CIG said "Ok this engine won't work, have to redo the game on another one" which is incorrect. Lumberyard and the modified Cryengine CIG are using for Star Citizen have already been seamlessly integrated together, which apparently didn't take a lot of work since they share the same base code. I notice Gamespot conveniently left out those quotes from Chris Roberts here. Nice one Eddie! If something doesn't back up the tone of your article, I guess just leave out inconvenient details.

"The full game, meanwhile, remains unreleased almost four years after its crowdfunding campaign first began." ..You're joking right? Remember CIG is not EA or Ubisoft, there was time needed to get everything in place. Being that most titles spend an average of 5-8 years in development, even if CIG is behind, it's not that bad. It is no longer the 2014 singleplayer experience either. It has grown to be much more since the majority of backers voted to keep going. Now we will be getting many more features but you can't expect that to happen in only a few years. That aside, it's as if the editor here wanted to take a shot at the game to end the article. Most studios don't even announce games until a year or so before release and are behind closed doors for at least the first three years but that wasn't possible since Star Citizen has been crowdfunded since the beginning. It just seems like a sorry attempt at a cheap shot by the editor. Does he really think that most games only have a four year development cycle including conception? I just expect a tad better from GS.

Fair enough. I personally would give it a little more latitude and an 8/10. While it has a few negatives, it really is one of the better 4x games to come in awhile and does some things right that have hampered others. Also, the game will no doubt improve in time as Paradox updates it so it's definitely worth picking up if you're interested in 4x.
