I played Twin Snakes first and loved it, but I don't think it should replace the original in a collection like this. The gameplay and cutscenes of Twin Snakes are very different, and enough people think that one or both aspects are worse than the original that it can't be considered the "definitive" version. I do think TTS should get a rerelease of some kind, though.

Phantom Hourglass for me. The art style, music, and items all disappointed me. How can all of you hate WW that much? That game is glorious. Go turn on your Gamecube, put in WW, go to Dragon Roost island, stand on the beach, and listen to the music. Tell me WW is still your least favorite Zelda game.

I agree with most of his points, except for #4. Accessibility is good, but providing a challenge is also important for games (unless you're just trying to make an interactive movie). I'm not sure why everyone here is bashing this guy so passionately. I think most of us would agree that Metal Gear Solid 2 was a more interesting and exciting game than Black Ops 2, and it had plenty of "real-world themes." Just because a game addresses real-world issues doesn't mean that it can't be escapist entertainment as well. I do think that there's a place for silly, purely unrealistic games, but there's also a place for "serious" games.

From what I've read about RSI, surgery isn't recommended unless it's really severe; otherwise, rest and physical therapy are the best way of dealing with it. Besides, the cause of RSI is excessive typing/mouse usage, and it needs to be dealt with whether or not someone gets surgery.

I haven't played Advance Wars, but I played Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones and loved it. Great game, with a good story (IMO), great music, and lots of replayability.

It looks like others have answered your specific questions, so I'm just throwing this out there: if you plan on going "Nintendo only," you may miss out on a lot of gaming experiences in the next gen. Similarly, those who don't have a Nintendo system at all will miss out on many quality games. I'm basing that prediction on this gen; the Wii library had very little overlap with the 360 or PS3, and if the 720 and PS4 are significantly more powerful than the Wii U, I think the situation will stay the same. Don't get me wrong, I love Nintendo systems and games, and if I was stuck on a desert island with only one developer's games, I would pick Nintendo. But you're not on a desert island, so without knowing exactly what your intentions and circumstances are, I would warn against ditching your 360 without need.

I'd like a simply "Jump to section" feature so I don't have to waste time riding across the sea unless I want too.funsohng
I thought they had that. There was a song you could play to warp yourself to various spots on the map.

Yes, but IIRC, that song is optional. Meaning you can just go past it and end up not being able to find out until you have beaten the game.

I thought you need it to get to an otherwise inaccessible place...
The island with fire and ice arrows
I haven't played WW in years, but I remember getting stuck because I didn't have the song.

I really hope that Nintendo eventually sees the light and provides a Virtual Console equal to GOG.com or Steam. A wide selection of older games, cheap prices, few or no strings attached. I'm sure there are technical hurdles or licensing issues to be dealt with, but beyond our desire to replay these old games, I think it's important for the future of video games as an art form or cultural force. If I want to watch a Hitchcock movie or read 1984, I can acquire both works legally for a small price, whereas if I want to play Earthbound, I'm basically out of luck.

People seem to think that GC games will eventually go on the Wii U VC, and I think an NOA exec expressed interest in it, but there hasn't been anything confirmed. I think in the long run, Nintendo would be foolish not to put GC games on the VC. When such classic games as Wind Waker are going for $50 used, it's clear that there's some level of demand, and Nintendo isn't making a dime off of used game sales.

Wario Land 2 and 3, Pokemon Gold/Silver, and the three Zelda games are my favorites. I just beat Wario Land 2 again today--it's still fun after all these years.
